At least start with the history of semiconductors and then move onto the fall of Japan's semiconductor industry after US start a trade war, then the rise of S Korea and Taiwan's semiconductor industry; and Finally How China became self sufficient in semiconductors after US sanctions. China used to buy about 70% of all semiconductors But now are buying less than 20%, majority of the companies That sold semiconductors were US ones and That the government incentives wouldn't cover the revenue lost hence the big Tech lay off happening right now, US worker's Union would also be in the way of US producing cheap semiconductors which make US unable to compete on global stage. The result is chip war was a irreversible mistake That pushed China into market dominance.
