    Awesome video! I was just wondering where and how do you tie up your sway bar? I have a set of jspec quicker disconnects and I never know what to do with my sway bar once I have my links removed.

    • @JKGearandGadgets
      @JKGearandGadgets  6 років тому +3

      So a lot of them come with straps that are made to hold them up. I usually just tie them up around the front body mount with some thin string. Either just tie them up or see if you can buy the straps like they sell with the Rock Krawler disconnect kit

    • @JKGearandGadgets
      @JKGearandGadgets  5 років тому +1

      Glad I can help! Btw you will need a programmer to disable the sway bar light after it’s gone. Check out my video on the programmer app, it will clear that light!

    • @wandering_arizona

      JK Gear and Gadgets I’m just going to put a sticker over it. Do you have any for your channel? 😆

    • @JKGearandGadgets
      @JKGearandGadgets  5 років тому

      Haha sadly I don’t, I’ve been telling myself to make some. So I will eventually get around to it 😂

    • @JKGearandGadgets
      @JKGearandGadgets  5 років тому +1

      I will add. I wouldn’t recommend just putting a sticker over it. You really want to disable it so the plug doesn’t have power. Otherwise it can get wet and fry your wire harness, which can lead to other issues. Most programmers are about 200$, but the app video I posted set you up for around 40-50$, plus you can use it for other features as well. Just something to think about

    Currently in the middle of building my jeep just got Skyjacker Double Disconnect sway bar links they are really easy to install and very reliable I spent 130 and is honestly the best purchase I've ever made besides my rough country lift I highly recommend these they are easy to fix and install yourself it took me an hour to do 2 in my front yard and that was with fighting rusted bolts for 30 minutes

      @@4WDTrek I haven't if it's just flashing try hitting the button again so that it turns off. Then once off try to press it again to turn it back on. You may need to move a little bit each time to allow it to line up to reconnect and then disconnect.

    Cool vids! Run Antirocks on my 2dr that I got from Eric at Offroad Elements. Offroad they are awesome. Actually prefer them over completely disconnected as I think you have a little more control off camber. You don't just flop over. If I was only worried about an RTI ramp score and not actual performance then disconnected it would be!

    Great video Ben. I still haven't got caught up on all your "older" videos so this was a nice recap on sway bars. I actually own a Rubicon and experienced the flashing light. Wouldn't lock back up! So I ordered the Evo no limits, but while I was waiting for it to arrive I still needed my daily driver so I tore apart both ends of the smart bar and was able to clean out, lube and attempt at sealing it up better than factory. So I haven't done the Evo install I just yet, so I keep it in the Jeep. I haven't had any issues with it so far, but Evo stil ready to go. Do you ever unhook your rear while off-road?

    • @JKGearandGadgets

    Hey Ben!! Question about the electronic disconnect. Mine has gone bad and I am just using the manual disconnects. The issue is the damn light and alarm inside the vehicle will not stop ringing!!! It is driving me mad. I figure the EVO no limits replacement for the motor will be a good fix, however; how do I make the light alarm stop? Assume I need to get a pro cal to shut it off? I have the superchips calibrator but no sway bar option on it. I really don't want to have to buy another device. What do you recommend?

    Does the Evo manual disconnect work with a JK sport sway bar? I have a set of JKS quick discos but I am tired of needing an additional guy to help me level my jeep everytime I want to connect them back.

    • @JKGearandGadgets

      No. It replaces the rubicon electric sway bar motor. You could try to find an old rubi sway bar with a bad motor

      You shouldn’t have any issues, however the first time you disconnect and flex it, hop out and take a look around at everything to make sure it’s good to go
