I had read a story about Two Mexican American Graduates of Texas A and M who were in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. It was in Time Life Books Vietnam Series . One Flew Fighters snd the other C-130’s . A barracks at the School is named in honor of the one Who was killed in action during a supply run flying a C-130.

Very impressive. Just a suggestion though: If the Corp of Cadets are going to have an old style cavalry unit, they might dust off those old cavalry manuals. The cavalry salute was completely different. It was a high raised hand instead of finger tips to the brim salute.

Impressive marching. Very crisp, very well disciplined and very well executed. They march far better than any US Army active duty unit I've seen personally, or on UA-cam, lately.
There is no excuse for some of them being overweight though. Overall, they're a very sharp looking bunch.

They’re actually more significant than that. “Senior Boots” are hand crafted and custom made for each individual cadet. They are made by Holick’s, a local company that was founded by the first Aggie bandmaster Joseph Holick in 1891. Depending on the materials used, each pair can cost around $1000 and up. Most cadets place their order as freshmen to have them ready for their senior year. It’s a century old tradition.

No they don’t. The Corps is completely voluntary. Students join the Corps to learn leadership skills. The majority go on to work in the civilian world. They do not have a military obligation since most of them pay for their own education. Very few have ROTC scholarships. 2019 graduation class only commissioned 206 cadets to the military.
