For real, the Randal May stuff is truly not great, if you’re going to reinvent the wheel the stuff has got to last. When the middle articulating part of the harnesses fail in the middle of a rep and cannot be fixed with normal tools or readily available parts, the design is a failure. The stupid “bar hook” that shakes itself off the stand, potentially damaging the shells of tenors when they slam down into the stand. The non-standard adjustment wing nuts that aren’t big enough and literally hurt to adjust. It’s crap.

Yes this is technically sound but there was just something about all the corps in the early 2000s that had something different. 2003 blue devils is still one of my favorite shows ever. I just dont get the same feel nowadays

Yes, it’s a trash design. Someone needs to go back to the drawing board. Those stands are expensive for the limited amount of functionality they have.
