Kilmainham on Lockdown Video XXXI - Last Words (Part 7) - Joseph Plunkett - Executed on 4 May 1916

On the evening before he was executed in Kilmainham Gaol on 4 May 1916, Joseph Plunkett married his fiancé, Grace Gifford, in the Catholic Chapel of Kilmainham Gaol where this video was filmed. It includes an account of the wedding by Grace's sister, Sidney Czira (aka 'John Brennan') which is taken from Piarais F. Mac Lochlainn's book, 'Last Words, Letters and Statements of the Leaders Executed After the Rising at Easter 1916'.
