I was intrigued when I learned that there was a "Go" version out. After watching this I must say I'm disappointed. I never use the funnel, stiring stick, or spoon. Certainly not when camping but I don't use these at home either. The porlex bean grinder gives me a good amount of beans when it's almost fully loaded so that takes care of the spoon and you don't need the funnel ever. The filters can be kept in a ziplock bag inside the aeropress. So what does this new Go version actually give us? A little less coffee and (maybe) a little less bulk.
Thank you for the comparison, I'm going to buy an AeroPress for the first time (tried the original version at my friend's) and wasn't sure which one to buy. I think I'll get the Aeropress Go, the design is really nice, I like the small filter case for travelling and doesn't really need the huge funel. And the mug/case is a very nice addition.
Nice review -- and I too like the Go . . . but the original like you have was made from polycarbonate plastic with a rubber elastomer seal. Both the Go and the newer full-size models are now made from polypropylene plastic with a siliconized seal. Mfr says the change is because polypropylene wears better -- I'd have to agree, since the crazing on the inside of my original was the reason I picked up the Go!
Great video! Just 2 quick questions: 1 - Is it possible to place the porta filters inside the cup and keep it closed with the entire tools ? 2 - Are the filters same size as the original Aeropress?
Another reviewer said the Go had different looking holes in it filter basket. They also said it had a fuller bodied taste than the classic Aeropress. What are your thoughts?

The original Aeropress has been made of PP since July 2014.
My aeropress lost pressure after 4 years of heavy used and only because my family member was pressing unevenly...but when newer version was released,?
Finally I Found aeropress comparison thank you

Both yes
Hi, are both the same diameter so you can use the same kind of filters - especially metal filters? Thanks!
Yup! Exact same diameter. The Go uses the same filters as the original and can fit the same metal filters.
@@LatteArtGuide thank you!
If it for home use, original AeroPress is win for sure. But for outdoor, AeroPress Go is preferable.

Hi.
If they have same diameter, so fellowprismo can be used on aeropresGo ?
I love my aeropress go
I think they should give the original areopress some new colours!
It’s had several colour updates over the years
Brilliant design for camping or just travel, costs bugger all and makes fantastic coffee. No-brainer :)
dude talk bout the cup too. the Go gives you cup built in. so you don't have to look for one.
Honestly, wo uses the funnel? Even at home, mine collects dust.
