Thanks for this! About the explosion on 8:55, it would have been better if it was on the next page (at the back) because once i got to flip that part of the comic, I see it right away then goes back reading where i am suppose to read... Where as if it is at the back, then it would have more impact.... 👍
Super late to the party here, but I'd like to say I learned a ton! As an aspiring writer I now have a clearer idea when it comes to panel layout, progression, and how I can better describe each panel.
Almost done with my mini comic. The way I do my panels are impactful to the reader and builds more action. Also I showed some of the drawings to my classmates and they really liked it. Some even said I should think about publishing it. What do you think?😀🤔
That's Awesome! The great thing is nowadays we have the ability to self publish small runs of comics with print on demand, So there's no reason why you couldn't publish a few issues and if you are able to sell them print more! I'll be getting into publishing in some of the later videos in this series.
There really isn't a standard size. I work larger at about 11" x 17" or 28 x 43 cm and my margins are about the thickness of a standard pencil printed they are a little less than an 8th of an inch (0.3175 cm) There are some instances where you might want them wider or thinner and I will cover that in the next MC101 LIVE video tomorrow. Great question thanks!

Yes. It's usually a good idea to take advantage of the page turn

It would be awesome to have a discord for comic artists.
If I knew that I could stay on top of it i would start a Discord. But I would hate to start one and not have the time to manage it.
