Stardust was used for the English title of the song. I like your interpretation of Stardust. She is a piece of a star who came down to Earth and liked it so much that she didn’t want to leave. Her calling herself a mistake can also reference how we, who were originally stardust, ended up what we are now. Before that line, she also says she didn’t have a choice. I like how she uses these scientific ideas metaphorically so listeners can relate and have their own interpretation. I agree with how you tie this song to the album’s end theme. I think she has reach the end of one journey and is reflecting on everything precious to her, before starting a new journey. It kind of ties well into the next album about growth. This beautiful music video with its combination of visuals, lyrics, her voice and the instrumentals always makes me emotional.
It's a really touching song, especially with the video :) I agree about that mistake line. Maybe mistake isn't the right word to describe it but like coincidence, accident, serendipity, something along those lines which would encompass that feeling better. Like the chances of us being here are so infinitesimal that all of the stars would align and everything needed would occur and we would all come to be in this time in this space at the same time as each other. A beautiful sentiment to think of like that. I also love how she uses a lot of science references and metaphors in her music. I'm a nerd to an extent so it's fun for me haha.
