- Something I felt no one has done yet so I decided to do it myself. I used the actual Code Geass soundtrack to score the video to give it a more authentic effect. Also it's heavily edited visually, so please enjoy.

Little do they know that that simple little geass comes back next season in the arctic arc. In the classic Skinner vs Superintendent battle, Skinner is able to beat Chalmers by flying as high as possible. Since Chalmers can’t look at the aurora borealis in the sky, Seymour is effectively in his blind spot. I love the way he planned that ahead. The writers of this show are insane.
McBaws that took a while to process. In a sense it’s kinda like how kururugis command paired with his immense fighting skills cannot die in battle. Can’t believe this show predicted code geass tho
It doesn't stop there. At the end of the Arctic arc, Chalmers loses his family to arctic pirates. He wasn't able to save them because he couldn't look at the sky due to that same aurora borealis, therefore not being able to see the direction the pirates were fleeing to in their hijacked plane.
Just like in code geass, a character is forced to go against their ideals and wishes due to the mc's thoughtless use of geass that one time.
Wait until the Bart arc (post-timeskip), you'll never guess who eats his shorts!

Charles is like "whatever" about it while C.C. screams at the top of her lungs about the fire. lol

Code Geass and knights of sidonia are very close ties for me. I have nothing but fond memories of both of them. And KOS will likely finish this year.

@CogentPhilosopher every single female character becomes a bitch in heat when they are close to lelouch. the school setting clashes with the military one and is really weird, the series can't decide if it's a serious war story or a school setting slice of life anime. fanservice out of place everywhere. everybody is retarded exept lelouch. susaku dosen't make sense, he wants to change a system from the inside while that system actively tries to kill him. Charles the Main villain contradicts himself because he believes that the strong must opress the weak but at the same time wants to make a third impact and fuse humanity into one being. amnesia is over used and like 4 characters have it for the most absurd reasons (looking at you Villeta). lelouch pulls plan out of his ass constantly like predicting full conversations with the exact timing TWICE. Mao, a normal dude was able to recover from a fucking firing squad but euphemia a member of the royal family died from a single gunshot to the stomach. The whole euphemia thing is forced as fuck, losing control of the geass exactly at the moment You are looking at her and saying "kill all the japanese" is too much. Shirley is not a character, she only exist to sucks lelouch dick. kallen is a sex slave to lelouch without the sex. The knightmare fights have the same amount of strategy than a dbz one, and they are not Even as flashy. The table humping scene. there is not a single intelectual rival to lelouch exept Clovis and lelouch Beats him by a retarded means (see the whole predicting conversations). this is more personal but the style to me is trash, their heads are Doritos. the cliffhanger from the first season is wasted and I could go on, the series is fin to watch without thinking about it but it's just Bad, comparing it to other series like death note seems insulting. At least to me. And after watching Legend of the galactic heroes code geass now seems like a cheap imitation without nothing of the good part from LOGH, still is a 4/10 because at least there are one or two plans that are kinda interesting and the series has a Lot of style, and lelouch voice actor may or may not make me question my sexuality, but that's all the compliments I can think of
walber parker I enjoyed Code Geass for a multitude of reasons that places it at a 9.8/10 for me. The fan service was not one of them. I can agree with you there that it completely spoils any respect for the female characters. However I do think that the school/slice of life scenes did have a purpose. They stand to lighten the mood and flesh out the characters. No one would have had any sort of sympathy for Suzaku, Kallen, or Lelouche if they didn’t have down time to relax and act normal. The characters would have been 1-dimensional, edgy, and bland if we only saw them in battle or sneaking out. Not dissimilarly, the characters from the student council, Shirley in particular, do exist as a sharp contrast to Lelouche and his “brilliant mind games”. Yeah the man is flawed and these guys look like idiots when people are literally dying, but that’s what life looks like. Everyone is living different lives with different thoughts and goals and preoccupations. This is part of the reason why I prefer Code Geass over Death Note, the world feels more expansive to me and more lived in. Going back to the topic of the female characters, I have many qualms with the series and it’s treatment of them, but there are a few things that it got right. For me, Kallen was an amazing character and the fact that she could go head to head with Suzaku was a great achievement. She wasn’t weaker than or just barely good enough. They were equal. She wasn’t just a puppet either, she had emotions, asked questions, and acted out. If they took out the fan-service and maybe tuned down her crush on Lulu, she would have been one of my favorite characters in the show. Then there’s CC, who also stands as an equal to Lelouche. They have a good relationship where they stand to benefit from each other and actively collaborate. This shines most in season two and I honestly think that they had good chemistry. Not angry that they ended up the cannon ship. Lastly there’s Shirley. Oh god this girl is a mess, and that’s why I like her. She’s weak and hurt and head over heels for Lulu, and that’s who she’s supposed to be. She’s not a mastermind or an ace pilot. She’s a normal person who’s life gets torn apart when the people close to her get involved in some nasty shit. This became a bit of a rant, sorry for making you read all this. I can recognize that this series is definitely flawed and has some questionable choices, but I thoroughly enjoy it no matter how many times I watch it.

The only thing this is missing is Skinner's monologue about replacing his cooking with fast food being an internal monologue while Skinner stares out the window.
