I have this on soundtrack cd which came with SE version of SH4. I usually play it in my car, and while I play I wave to people on sidewalks from my car. They dont have a clue, but its fun. :)
Whilst the world gets excited for mw3 bf3 and skyrim, i get excited about finally getting a computer which may be capable of playing this again :D Can't wait til december
I remember those times. The times i played this game. A 11 years old kid who leads a ww2 submarine and constantly rams it to the coast. Tooke me 1 year to figure it out i can also shoot torpedos:) Ahoy, captains...
@chakaling I think those submarines and the brave men who crewed them (submarines or "pig boats" were probably the most dangerous and least appreciated assignments in the Navy at the time) played a huge role in saving the Allied war effort. The Japanese strike on Pearl Harbor crippled the Pacific Fleet's surface forces, but they didn't get the subs (or the carriers). And boy, did those subs make them pay for their mistake.
if you have the time, and really like Uboats, give Wolfpack submarine sim a chance (it is still in early release, but you talk about immersion, not even SH3 can beat it. Good Hunting.
Back when I was young and couldn't afford a good PC, I thought the graphics were real life when I saw gameplay videos. It still looks so good even now. FOTRSU with 4K sub skins looks even better.
@@goldmastersimulations I would love to give this game a try again. What are some good skins you have? I have the game on a dvd and i think ill try that. SH3 was awesome too
Two people have defective torpedoes that were fired against a Yamato
Im heading to the pacfic lol
I once shot 4 torpedoes to kill one ship. Not because of armor but they are damn defective
the gold old times
from a time where games were good, a time without dlc's, a time without pay to win, a time without steam, these were the good times
Dan Ward true
then you realise that the U-boat expansion pack was basically a DLC which you needed to buy to recieve patch 1.5 XD
Meh, one expansion pack wasn't a big deal. Super tame compared to the madness that we are witnessing so often today.

I just LOVE this theme ^^

Michael Lu uhhhh pig boats were american nick names for german boats lolololol
@@domandriacchi9082 I think the term was actually universal.
Funnily enough the Crimson Tide soundtrack (submarine movie score by Hans Zimmer) is pretty similar
Indeed
Not really. Crimson Tide's music is darker.
One can only think about the uboats !!!when one Heard This theme !!no matter if the usa we're the protagonists of This one
Love playing Battleship Craft with my U-505 with this playing in the background. It makes me feel like I can sink anyone no matter the cost.
kinda reminds me of the davinci code
Lol i came here because the davinci code reminded me of this xD
awesome.
I tried, but I just could not get into SH4. I guess I'm a U-Boat baby after all is said and done.

Am i the only one who thinks this game came with the best graphics ever made?

Wonder if this has been modded into Cold Waters and Dangerous Waters.
I wish Cold Waters played like the Silent Hunter games too. After playing SH4, Cold Waters feels quite shallow.
