Not many cafes when I was there only pubs where students got stoned 😮!
I believe there was a fire a few years ago hence why the Elephant Cafe and the building next to it are boarded up.

Yeh JK is very cryptic and only admits refrences when they are discovered, she is half Scottish but a pro unionist has the same narrative doesnt credit Scotland (she donated 1million to pro union campaing agaisnt Scotlands) she even states lots of things are based on her surroundigs but only for her to know and will never tell fans... admits Hogwarts was on a loch in Scotland in highlands etc but in books never mentioned it... she said "aw everyone knows if you head north from london for 1 day on train everyone knows thats scotland" thats a common thing unionsit and english do is call us "the north" to give impression we are part of england.
there is hundreds more (all within Edinburghs Old Town region where she lived and wrote books under and around the Castle.
Even on Victoria Street (diagon alley) the building that stood before it and was knocked down was owned by Thomas Weir, he was executed for wichcraft and sorcery and his ghost was seen walking through walls... much like the ghosts in HP.
Also the main house ghosts for Raven Claw and Hufflepuff are called "the GREY lady" and "the fat FRAIR" ... "GREY-FRAIR" of which the graveyard is called with the Tom Riddel grave stones etc. There's actually 7 names on stones.
Check out the Bank Of Scotland Old Town Edinburgh, it's along from Victoria St (Diagon Alley) (you can see it at 15:57 when at elephant hiuse in your video) it's one of he most famous and oldest banks in the world... white building described exactly like (GRINGOTS BANK)
Also that school herriot watt with 4 houses one of the houses are called Greyfrair almost like Gryffindor. Anyway, the man who build it was a millionaire, he created it for orphans or children without fathers... like Harry and Tom Riddeel both parentless yet stand out students at the school they are welcomed at.
The Old Town section of where all these locstions are and she wrote books is steeped in unferground chambers and dungeons... there's 8 main ghost tours that take you down them
I'm currently reading books back as an adult so have a long list of hidden refrences do far from.book 1
