is there really no way to stack them? i feel like you would want the mist filter on at all times to remove the digital sharpening

When to use 1-5 vs 6-9 step nd filter? Which is more go to?

The only thing I don't like about Freewell is that they're not compatible with T-Mount or M-Mount. You'd have to use their case, which is a bummer.

Great video! Could you please tell me if the filters and lenses from Freewell are good, or would you recommend another brand? I'm looking for something of high quality.
    Best regards.

Hey, do you have a tip on how to storage this setup when taking it outside? I‘m looking for a bag or a case that I can carry around but can’t find something that fits and keeps everything protected with extra storage for some lens and stuff.

A bummer you cannot stack the ND filter on top of the anamorphic lens

Does the ND work with the wide angle?

thanks for the video, I was looking at Sherpa/Freewell bundles and they have a telephoto lens and a long range macro as well. Have you tested those two? another question I have is if I buy all those lenses for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and I upgrade my phone in a year or two to a 16 version would those all those lenses be compatible? thanks

Probably yes, because apparently, Apple decided not to make any changes to camera lenses for 16 Pro Max. Hope this helps

Had to leave a comment not only for the great video, of course, but because I am also in UX, specifically Design Systems. 👍🏾 One minor issue with the Sherpa lenses is it requires their proprietary lens mount and case. If one is fine with that, then no problem, but if you’re looking to apply the lenses onto other phones, it could be a draw back. Just saying.
    Keep up the great content!

Thanks so much man. Appreciate you! And I totally agree. I’m just like, can we just have a universal system for phone lenses?
That’s awesome to hear you’re also in UX. I’m the design systems guy too. HMU if you make it out to Config in June.
Appreciate you stopping by my man. Thank you for watching and giving me some of your time.

Yup! It’s ridiculous you have to keep swapping cases. Would have been so easy to make these smallrig/moment compatible

Nice vid. Already ordered the freewell case, mist filter and grip so can’t wait to receive those. Any chance we can get a walkthrough of the rest of it. Like how the external ssd, mic, power bank etc all fit together with that multiple port usbc adapter and the phone. Thanks 👍🏼

Nice stuff ! Could you please share the link for the variable ND filter you are using there ? I am using an Iphone 15 pro and want to get the whole smallrig video kit. Also can we add the ND filter on top of the anamorphic lens ? Thank you !

    Great vid man!
I've got a question. Do these lenses work with SmallRig cage for iPhone 15 Pro Max? I mean the cage which is prebuilt for this iPhone. I saw your review of that.

Honestly, to go to all that trouble, and as good as it looks, isn’t better to get a proper camera, which has a bigger sensor, better image quality and so on?

    • @MaximoJoshua

Eh, I think this is fine until you get an fx3 or something. I don’t think you get a lot of the benefits of a dedicated camera until you get to like at least $4k (maybe 6k)…just my opinion.
It’s not really a lot of work, and it’s basically the same thing you would do with a dedicated camera.
