The last few in okc have been getting thin. Just found out they aren't coming this year, which sucks. I heard okc officials basically kicked them out. When I get solid confirmation on that, I'm going to voice my opinion. Don't know what karen is in charge now that helped this happen. Years ago, Tunerfest told me they weren't coming to okc anymore because of problems with okc officials. This is such bs. They sure want to build nice things for homeless people to use, but don't like cruising one weekend a year? I heard it was because of traffic congestion over the show weekend. The last few years hasn't been bad at all. I looked forward to the bumper to bumper traffic with everyone waiving at you on the curb. Fun fact: The Blackhawk has so much power, if the pilot applies full throttle at once or in an uncontrolled manner, it rips the helicopter apart.

@@andhotrodshop I was born/raised in Staunton, but haven't been back in alot of years. Been involved (spectator and participant) in classic car shows, here in the midwest, for over 20 years. I really like GoodGuys, NSRA, and Iola shows. Been a MOPAR guy most of my life.
I asked NSRA if they do any discounts for the senior members who have been with then since the 80's and they said NO. So I dropped my membership and no looking back.
@@georgeandrews1271 I renewed my membership while I was there and it was only $35 for one year. I don’t think that’s a bad deal. Going out to eat these days you will spend more than $35 anyway thanks for watching
they opened it up years ago to a rolling 25 year calendar like most other shows. Still has the most street rods out of any of the shows i go to. Thanks for watching

Bunch of nice cars…but STILL calling it the “Street Rod” Nationals is a bit of a stretch!
