What still shocks me is how they are still “squeezing” the Helio G99 to this day. And the ridiculous prices of some products using this processor... I don't know, it would be nice to jump to the Dimensity 7000 at least.
I think its reasonable as long as the chip performs well. The G99 to me is like the 778G. Insanely good value chipsets with decent/reasonable performance. This tablet is more than just the G99. The speakers are actually and probably one of the best there is on a mobile smart device, has full fledge pen stylus support and a good kickstand to boot. I think this one is priced right especially since its usually bundled with the pen and keyboard too.
A good review! The man is not speaking into a microphone, like some of these horrible UA-camrs do today, but showing us the product, a big thumbs 👍 up for that! Have ordered one as reduced here in UK to £199, definitely worth that.
Definitely a media tablet ie. streaming . Personally I think it's too expensive for my needs but I could see the the price approaching justification for some with different needs.
Thanks. I enjoy your pacing and delivery. I was hoping they would fill the missing 8" snapdragon product in the U.S. I believe it is their Y700 that fits that bill, but it is non-U.S.
I should get it later today Speakers are...incredible! The kickstand can open 180 degrees The charger included is incredible (even Yoga Tab 13 has only 30W) Note: Pen from P12 is compatible
Still don't understand why in 2024 so few midrange android tablets have some kind of fingerprint scanner for security. 2D Face unlock is so insecure and unreliable and it can't be that costly to integrate one into the power button.
Your so correct I see cheap -100$ android phones with a power button finger print scan .... If it cost 10$ to implement and I know it cost way less people would still pay that extra for such an important feature.
Always been a fan of these. Use my old yoga tab as a hdmi screen via a usb otg adaptor, hdmi capture dongle, and the usb camera app. Its stuck on Android 5. Slow for anything serious but i use it to record video onto the sd card slot.
Wonder how loud can the speaker get. Might read the specs wrong but it's said to be about 28W although can't confirm that. Still wished it had LTE so at least you could bring it anywhere.
With 8 speakers doesn't the battery drain out pretty fast. That bulky speaker does seem battery hungry. What is the battery runtime when you watch UA-cam or movies nonstop?
JBL is not doing good as it should be ... treble are good high bass you can feel batter than others but don't expect like speaker because it's JBL here is suking
I have a model that is the predecessor of that model M10 from 2021, great tablets in terms of quality and durability, but they have a big flaw, which is software support, updates are very rare and you probably won't get a newer version of android than the one you got it with bought. In that sense, Lenovo is a very, very bad purchase, of course there are people who don't care about it, but I personally do, and that's why I won't buy their tablet again.
After thinking a lot I have purchased xiaomi pad 6 I think for performance this is a good choice but Lenovo pad Plus is good for multimedia and loud voice I still feel I have missed the voice experience
Do you still have the Oneplus Pad 2? Can you compare the speakers? It would be interesting to learn if they are great or just gimmicky when compared to other tablets with regular speakers.
Can anyone explain to me what does "2 years software update" means? Isn't it we can just update the android system to the newest just like the ios? I currently have Ipad gen5 with ios 17 on. And what would happen after 2028? We can't use the tablet no more?
2 years software update means 2 versions of Android OS installations guaranteed by a manufacturer as a new Android OS is generally released by Google on a yearly basis. For example this tablet ships running Android 14 OS so will be eligible to receive Android 15 & 16 OS updates in the future. Security updates are for 4 years ending 2028 but that doesn't necessarily mean the end of its service life because Google will continue to support & update the security of its Play Store applications for many years after an android OS is no longer the latest version/release. For example my device from 2020 is running Android 13 & received it's last security update from the manufacturer this year (2024) however Google (via Play Store) will continue supporting the apps on my device until March 2026 when Google support for Android 13 ends so I could still with a reasonable amount of safety use this device until that end date. After that I will no longer be able to update my installed applications & may expose myself to security risks. If you're unfamiliar with Android this probably sounds more complicated than it is as I'm not too good at summarising but I hope these explanations help.
@@BeyondtheHive336 Thank you sir! This is far beyond from helpful(let along the Hive!). I've never had any android device my entire life. I'm thinking of purchasing this one for an alternative (office + video streaming). You've given me a very thorough explanation!
@@aeredpillmedia6290 No worries, glad it was helpful ! Yeah figured you hadn't used Android so tried to break it down as best I could. By my estimate Android 16 OS (the final OS update for this particular device) will be released by Google sometime in later half of 2025 however manufacturers have to tweak the OS to work with their devices particular chipset & OS skin so it can take them longer until they have it functioning with minimal bugs ready for OTA update release. I'd expect Lenovo to release Android 16 sometime in 2026 however i estimate Google will probably support Android 16 applications via Play store till 2030 giving you 2 additional years after Lenovo stops issuing their own security updates in 2028. As long as this device's hardware doesn't fail in between now & then (touchwood) I think you could comfortably use this device without security risks for the next 5 or 6 years. Think it'd suit your purposes & make a great multimedia machine, was actually thinking of buying it myself for the same purpose. Anyway, whatever you decide good luck & if you've any more questions just shoot.

At least a mediatek dimensity 8300 ultra for a reasonable price, at this point helio g99 is absurd 😅😅

The jbl sound is way better than any of its tablet competitors 👌

What would you recommend? Xiaoxin Pad 2024 or Xiaoxin Pad 2023?
Which tab sounds louder? S9 series or the lenovo tab plus?
tab plus for sure sounds way better
this looks pretty good the specs is nice too!!
No better than my gen 1 iPad Pro , ands it’s still supported
How if it compare to p12?
It has a nice design but it'll only be supported for 2/4 years. They should make a ChromeOS/Windows version
For the price tag, 2 os and 4 year security update seems reasonable.
Is this the same one at Best Buy

at least use a snapdragon prossesor, xiaomi tab 6 is around the same price but they use SnapD 870 which is far superior cpu
It's pretty much a refresh of the p11 gen 2, 4gb more ram, more speakers, and a better headphone jack.
