Love this progression. It's a lot of fun finding interesting voicings on guitar. I really should play piano given the majority of music theory videos in my feed are piano. I just love that the notes are all in one line and you can grab 2 handfuls of them. Guitar makes for easy transposition but yea... Jealous of piano chord voicings lol... Thanks again for wonderful content.
Thank you so much! Have I ever told you that Guitar is my favorite instrument? (I finally started learning guitar last year). But yes, for learning theory piano is much easier. When you play an arrangement like that on the guitar, It's often possible to not play the bass of a chord - the ear will understand what the chord is because of the context.
@@dr.guyshkolnik_composer I'm really enjoying how my guitar playing is becoming more melodic and having less "guitarisms" thanks to a musical understanding I'm gaining through content such as yours. I'm 55 and played since I was a kid. 30 years in bands of all kinds. Mostly rock I'd say... I can shred any old day of the week but I'm just playing around with chords and melodies and trying to get a vocabulary together that might fascilitate true improvisation one day. It's quite a personal journey at the moment because I haven't performed since 2019. I just play what makes me happy and pleases the ear on accoustic guitar and I just wanted to say thank you for your valuable contribution to that personal journey.

Stevie was 14 when he wrote this.
I DIDN'T know that! Amazing.
This is not an original key isn't it?
I’m not sure…
it is, it modulates at the end though
