Killer field & finds brother man. That’s most certainly heat treatment material. Love those Yadkins but the Hardaway definitely takes the cake. Dalton family point for sure similar to our greenbrier daltons or the San Patrice. Outstanding work brother… keep after em my fellow brother in stone.

Jeff. Always glad when I see you putting out a new video. That is a great field you have permission to walk. The ear(s) on that Hardaway identify it as Hardaway. Congrats. Hardaway to Yadkin.....Long period of time represented there. A good resource area for all periods of time. Also glad to see you not having given up on creeks. Creeks are always a good option when we feel we've walked a field to death and waiting on future plowing or heavy rains.

You and I seem to be holding down NC! My Western Freind. I simply do my best to keep up and save what I can here in ENC. Right now, so many spots are quieted down and settled through winter... I call it the sleeping times here where it is MUCH flatter than where you are.

I have never been arrowhead hunting before I moved here in the 80s and wouldn’t know where to start
Everybody has to start somewhere… however creeks in Western North Carolina, are difficult especially to start…

At 29:28, it looks like a Hardaway-Dalton 8700 to 8200 BC

I'm in the Costal Plain of NC. I look for projectile points, too. I ordered a book online: North Carolina Projectile Points: Indentification & Geographic Range by Christopher A. Cameron. It wasn't expensive, and it covered the most likely to be found, but not all found in NC. I think this will help you. I refer to it often. Enjoy your videos, and Ben's. It's always fun to see what others find in the State.
You have to wonder what life was like there when those points were made. From the looks of what you are finding I'd say 6000 to 8000 years ago mostly. Early to mid archaic period. Those are dart points so the people who made them were primarily hunter gatherers. There must have been lots of large game around that area then. Maybe late pleistocene animals around 8000years bp still. Bison, elk, dear too. Either way life would have been tuff to say the least.

I understand why you would say that… usually the ones I see though the ears are a little straighter up. I feel like this one’s older. Of course I could be wrong.. it’s hard to stay 100% all the time on the identification
