Remember watching that performance on TV back in the day...went out and bought their album next day. Watching it again still makes the hairs on back of my neck stand up. 20 20 sound still one of my favorite albums. The best music never seems to age
I remember watching that, it blew everyone away... That drummer is F'kin awesome. I dont think any of the other drummers wanted to play after watching that, that night.!
This is a great piece...It is just amazing...It is lovely to watch musicians who are really going for it...Really kicking the shit out of it...Well Done Boys...Cheers
I saw them at T in the Park 99 and their set blew me away. I went straight out and got album, WOW, thinking they were gonna be HUGE,. What the hell went wrong?????
According to Francolini, a few people who supported them left EMI - that, and their insistence on doing their own thing, meant they got dropped. They jacked it in shortly after that. Since then, Bic (Christian Hayes) has been heavily involved in the psychedelic scene in Brighton with his partner Jo Spratley, and of course is a big part of the whole Cardiacs scene (having been a guitarist with them for a while).
because somehow, Steve Lillywhite did not capture at all what they could do live. His production on twenty twenty sound completely missed the point! You figure having someone like Lillywhite backing you from the get-go would be a good thing. But it wasn't. He killed the whole sound they achieved here in this one show!
I've been watching this for 16 years, and everytime it's amazing
Me too mate, me too.
I saw them live at Northumbria Uni around 1999. Fucking amazing, and twenty twenty sounds one of my favourite albums.

I discovered that band in 2000 because the music store i used to go was playing it. I still love them music today. Thank you Dark Star.
Always love the track especially that drumming, but first time I've watched it live.
This album never left my car not once
AWESOME
why they dissappeared such a talented band !!!!!!
I saw them at ULU in 2000. Fantastic band. Later when I was rehearsing in Brixton Hill, Bic’s anps were there in storage.
what a great drummer!!!
sweeeet! I think i'll upload more of my own personal dark star vids...
I just cannot understand why they weren't massive. Brill musicians. Dave Francolini has to be the best drummer I have ever seen live.
Chooooon! What a drummer. Great band
Oh wow. I haven't heard this for about 20 years. I can't find the album anywhere.

@@JimFinnis thanks for the great info, much appreciated mate, such a pity things conspired against them.
fucking fantastic bit of drumming......
I saw this video at the time too, loved it :o)
Those were the days. If only David Cameron had stuck to playing the bass guitar. He was actually pretty good.
Great tune!
A classic "early Cameron" performance, for sure;-) Chance in a million?! Still a great song.
i am listening to this at about 3:00am.. sigh
Well, They did another album after this, the execs didnt like it, they got dropped and now some of them are in a group called the Dragons.
Thats true but it would be nearly impossible to capture on an album what they did live! Its still a beautiful album tho!x
they are like muse, deftones and placebo , but underrated
solo sacaron un disco (buenisimo por cierto) y nada mas, según el wikipedia hay uno en progreso.
seria maravilloso .. 15 años esperando eso !!

Anyone know where I could get a copy of Zurich? I know it wasn't released, but I heard it was leaked to the internet years ago.
I've got it?
