Nobody beats the Barry king steel there blades are made of. I carve 6 hours a day 6 days a week since 2015 and I’m finally just not replacing it due to there’s none left

i used to do it like once every 6-9 months, but i learned how to do it on a stone, ive actually made really good friends with these guys since this video so i learned direclty from paul.
So I’m still running a Tandy basic knife…are the price for these or BK really going to make a huge difference? Been working with leather for 10 years but on and off so maybe 4 years total because of military moves and what not. I just am wondering if the price are really worth the jump.
oh yeah. tandy blades suck a bag. if youre still holding onto tandy blades after 10 years im afraid you dont even know what its like to have a sharp swivel knife

Hell yeah dawg, i dig the thrasher hat brotha! Diamond stones are great but they are pretty aggressive with the cutting, but 8000 should be great for ur swivel knife. But i personally use ceramic whetstones but whatever works for you, keep at it. Of course finish with a strop with some compound like diamond paste, its an even finer way to hone ur swivel knife. Carving is looking good tho, you earned my subscription fasho! Peace! ✌️

You should never need to have a blade “professionally sharpened” you need to learn to do it yourself
