Would just covering the opening of the sensor with heavy electrical tape prevent the sensor from shutting down the engine? Seems much safer than cutting wires and possibly damaging the gen and voiding warranty?
I have what appears to be the same model mine is slightly different. The CO sensor is located behind the front panel and you need to cross the black and white wires.
I have the same unit I installed an exhaust port on it but it still shuts off with the co light coming on. I installed out side in a box with lots of ventilation . This co sensor is the Chits.
Was that plug/wire set from the CO display? or just behind the plate? I have a 9500-Watt that is setup identical, but i don't see the wire set. thanks for the video.
No its right on the side behind the metal plate. I looked there too😂 couldnt find anything online but found some close videos and with trial and error found this solution
Why would you take a video of something you did after the fact, already covered in tape, where no one can see WHAT YOU DID. I don't know which ones you did what to. And that was the whole POINT of trying to find a video to do the same thing to my champion 4650. And NO ONE has one that has the same wires as mine except YOURS, but I still can't see which ones to do what with 😢
Bad video! He act like he didn’t want to explain it! What the point of doing a video if you can show how you did it. Another dumb ass who think knows everything but don’t want to show others when he’s taught something
Thanks. It works great for my generator (201218). It is now reliable. This CO shield feature looks great at first, but it is in reality a plague.

Wait so you connect the red and the black?

You're not explaining ANYTHING...

You basically mumbled through this not showing anything whatsoever on how to by pass the sensor .
