You guys are so strong. This breaks my heart. I couldn't imagine taking care of a baby like Nathan because I can tell that it requires a lot of patience, understanding, praying and probably mixed emotions. I would be a total wreck so my kudos go to you both for all ya'll do for the boys. I really hope one day the doctors find a cure for baby Nathan.

Your doing the right thing. No worries about what others think. Having Nathan on his side even slightly is best when he needs to spit up and cough. It helps from him breathing the mucus or vomit back in. So your doing great.

I'm wondering if he has these episodes while his feed is on or does he do this regardless if it's on or off? And does sitting him up, or leaving him half way sit up (like in a car seat) help? I'm curious because patients I have with a feeding tube, if their feed is on, or if I'm giving meds thru it or flushing it, I elevate the head of their bed. I do realize his situation is far different from the patients I care for, which is why I'm asking. God bless this precious baby & God bless you & mama also. I have no doubt you guys could definitely teach me a lot. The Lord knew this baby needed special parents & that's exactly what he has💙 Many prayers for you all🙏🙏❤❤

I have a severely autistic 17 year old. I'm a single mom and it gets unmangable a lot. I'm so tired. I get it. But with your lil man, can't you get in home nursing thru Medicaid? I cannot image this kind of intense medical situation being on you guys 24/7. ♥️
Only you know your child the best and what works for you, you are doing such an amazing job with both of your children. You have to be extremely careful with Nathan since he can easily choke, it must be very scary situation while driving and he s in his car seat gagging. You are such strong parents, always in my prayers 💕
Question - have y'all thought about trying CBD? It has worked wonders for so many kiddos. Especially kids with seizures and pain. I understand there's a stigma around the whole CBD thing but I'm telling you firsthand I've seen it happen and it has done wonders. I know it's probably not an easy fix for Nathan but maybe it could just help him in some form or fashion. I don't know just my idea. Y'all keep strong and keep your heads up. I know it's easier said than done. The strength that you have to have everyday must be so hard at times. The weight on your shoulders must be truly unbearable. I can't even imagine. Remember to love each other remember to lean on each other and above all remember to pray for each other. This too shall pass one way or another it will pass. There will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Take care!! ❤️

As a parent of a special needs child with a tube I know it’s difficult to hear others telling you what to do or what they recommend but anyone in the medical field is in the medical field because they wanna help. I can see this is scary for you and I would assume you put this on UA-cam to get help He is having his food coming up his throat as it goes in his tube with him laying down flat it cannot stay down in his tummy. It’s continually going into his tube up his throat and choking him. Sit him in his car seat or swing or slightly prop him up on a pillow while he is being feed. Hopefully you try this and hopefully it will help

I agree he may not be able to sit up but at least have his head slightly elevated. His milk he is getting through his tube is continuously going up his choking him.
What is to become of him as he grows older? What happens if he outlives his family?
