Hi, the boat featured on the Isle of Man 2p is a traditional fishing boat called a Manx Nobby Lugger, and the writing on the top is from the first line of the Manx Fisherman's Evening Hymn and translates as "Hear us, O Lord".

Don't forget the 1998 bronze 2p, they copper clad steel had come into use but the Mint used some spare bronze blanks.

When you get to doing the 5p coins keep a look out for strike through grease and weak strikes on the obverse, I've found some on 2015 and 2016 isssues

There are variants to be aware of e.g. 1998 has a non-magnetic and magnetic type circulating coin.

Have you ever found a pre decimal half penny in your 2ps? Mum got an old ha’penny a few years ago in her change at the shops

Also advice- look for the 2008 Ironsides, they are rarer than 2017 2p shields!

Why don't you try and find the two pence coin with new pence from 1983 which was accidentally minted they normally apparently wearing special packs and somehow got into circulation if you find one of these new coins with new pence from 1983 it's worth about £600

main ones to definitely look out for are territories, NIFC dates, any frosted proofs, 1983 NEW PENCE error.
you should take this chance to get a complete date run for each denomination for your collection.
