They haven’t exactly aged well, IMO. I was a die-hard fan, but since the lost The Rev there has been a decrease in quality of writing. Although, I think Hail to the King had some raging tracks, but it was no Nightmare or City of Evil.
It is because they absolutely deserved it, like them or not. Are they one of the most successful modern bands? Not quite. But it comes to talent, they create a sound that is out of this world. Simply a band that truly incredible.

Marilyn Manson is the band (and his stage name) but they're not better than any of these, Breaking Benjamin is an awesome shout too. I'd consider manson industrial metal and probably would put one of them instead of tool since they're a little older and are definitely more progressive than modern metal
Nick Davis not gonna deny that they ripped off Overkill and plenty of other metal bands,but they don’t suck. Brooks Wackerman is a terrific drummer and Synyster Gates is a really talented guitarist.

Sure I would've loved to see something like Cannibal Corpse or Whitechapel on here, but I'm cool, for the most part, with the choices on this list. Don't forget that the list includes hard rock bands as well.
But Tool's techniques are more complex and the lyrics are more "intelligent". Nevertheless you are right, comparing Rammstein and Tool like this isn't the way to go.

I love how people don’t give A7X a chance. I know I’m gonna get hate, I’ve listened to many other songs by then other competitions and they are all the same. A7X, Korn, SOAD, and Slipknot are the top 4, but I think A7X should I be 2. They make more unique and clever instrumentals, melodies, and harmonies than all the other bands. Most of the other metal bands have only “okay” guitar rifts that make up the whole entire song.
SOAD is better and in fact is well deserved, not necessarily to play fast riffs or 3 guitars, they have a musical quality and very original clearly with folkloric influences of Armenian

The fact that Linkin Park was higher than Lamb of God, Tool, Rammstein, Godsmack, and even Korn just made the metal elitist within me cringe. The fact that it's even on this list made me as a lover of music cringe. Linkin Park at 5 and Tool at 10. The fuck man..

well, i actually dont like LP too, but you have to say, they are fucking defining. They are basically the most popular NU Metal Band (not most defining) Band atm and even if most metal fans dont like them, Linkin Park or NU Metal in general is one of the main sources for new metal fans.

Hollywood Undead are actually a good band and make reasonably good music, the only reason most people don't like them is due to the fact they incorporate rap into their music and/or because their fanbase are a bunch of cunts

I'd consider manson industrial metal and probably would put one of them instead of tool since they're a little older and are definitely more progressive than modern metal

I love how people don’t give A7X a chance. I know I’m gonna get hate, I’ve listened to many other songs by then other competitions and they are all the same. A7X, Korn, SOAD, and Slipknot are the top 4, but I think A7X should I be 2. They make more unique and clever instrumentals, melodies, and harmonies than all the other bands. Most of the other metal bands have only “okay” guitar rifts that make up the whole entire song.
They got their hate because they used to have an emokids fanbase, and you know how much that triggers metalheads
SOAD is better and in fact is well deserved, not necessarily to play fast riffs or 3 guitars, they have a musical quality and very original clearly with folkloric influences of Armenian

A) Korn has been a terrible band for many years. Not since Follow The Leader have they released anything worth listening.
B) Tool is one of the top 2 or 3 most influential modern bands, as well as being massively popular AND having mainstream success despite their darker tones and progressive leanings. The fact that Schism, a song that has the wackiest time signatures I've ever heard, is a modern rock staple should say it all.
C) FUCKING KORN? Holy ballsack WatchMojo. Holy ballsack.
And now Rammstein at 6. I fucking give up arguing with Watch Mojo. Their decisions are clearly not based in reality.

I have no issue with Korn, though they have slacked lately...I also have no issue with Ramstein, though idk if i would add them to my top 10. My issues are Linkin Park...who havent been any sort of metal in a looong time. And S.O.T.D. as much as I like them would never hit number one. I would have added...Nightwish...probably my number one now....
