8:50 - I believe that's a correction constant for fuel consumption. If your computer is under- or overreading, you can correct it by changing this number

So id done the code OFF part on 01 of the menu, then i go to the 07 part where he checks the temp and let go of the button the same as he does and it just goes back to the original screen of showing the time and under it says +24°C, is that my coolant temp or is my thermostat bad?

Menu Nr. 14 FS-Eintraege means error memory entries. As far as I know you can read the error codes which your car has. Google will tell you what they mean. Menu Nr. 20 is the correction factor for the computer to calculate the fuel consumption. You can set it higher than 1000 if it is computing too low, and lower than 1000 if it is computing too high. I mean if the display says 12 l/100km and in real it is only 9 l/100km the factor is wrong. In my 3 series it was 1134 instead of 1000 somehow, and the consumption was always shown higher than it really was.

I have question, i want to buy E90 and in my country its mostly took down KM by alot. I seen on your car it show working hours 1600 H, average speed around 50 km/h. So when you calculate its around 80-90k km. Your board say 190k km which say it was 120 km per hour average... So what's with that?
In order to check the km you will have to use a proper scanner or carly app (for bmw). There are a lot of modules that store the real km on the car like: key, instrument cluster, CAS, abs module and so on. I didn't notice that on my car but for sure after software update has began with 0 km. (The instrument cluster I mean)
Why on earth did bmw make this so fucking complicated 😩😩
If my car doesnt show hours, it means that someone turn down the millage?

hi :) the number 7 you sure is coolant temperature not the oil engine ? because on my disel i have 94°c to 105
Definately coolant . Your temp goes up , higher than say...100 , fan kicks in to cool it down to 85'ish , and so on . Coolant temp is never constant at 90 degrees.

Harry Yang all the features will be on till you shut down the engine. you can scroll aswell thru the menu...but if u have it all the time on your dash u have to code the car! thx
You can code some of these readings so they change using the BC button - I did some of this using Carly

@@mauricio9022 - not temperature no but with Carly you can code certain things - I got a digital speedo readout (small) which can be selected between actual speed and the one they typically display that reads higher than your actual speed. Once you have Carly you can display the various temperatures on your smartphone - engine oil, coolant, transmission etc. DashCommand also works quite well for basic stuff but in terms of diagnostics the Carly adapter is quite powerful and will work with both Carly and DashCommand. For BMW diagnostics Carly for BMW is the best at a reasonable price

Only if the menu is started you can see the Infos after turning off the car you have to start everything from the beginning
hi, what is the normal operating temperature for the n47 engine? in this menu mine goes from 89 to 95 celzius
Between 88 and 105 °C so its running normal
it's under pressure so even when it goes to 100c it's fine

For sure you are doing something wrong because this is the method that is used in service as well. It works 100%

bmw e92 320i 2011, i cant acces the hidden menu using the vin number calculation method, after i insert the sum of digits menu is still Lock:on
It's show you lock on because the nr is not correct you have to add the last digits from Left to Right or you have to push again the small needle from cluster to unlock! Success!
Then you added the last 5 of the vin wrong. Once it's correct next time you go to 19. It'll say lock off. But you'll have to do it each time before driving. I use menu 7 for temp. Between 85 to 115 is averages for temp in C°
BTW mine is a 2010 528i. So I know it'll work on yours

+Michael Spardaro for every reprogramming action you will need NCS expert or Carly app or another programming tools. You have to know what you are doing otherwise you can brick your computers.

The temp must be at 87 °C or about 189- 190°F

You can use the test menu nr 2 to see if works and if works the sender unit in the tank it might be bad or you can use the reset menu 😉

What’s code 24 mean
The menu goes only till 21. Not sure what you mean. Where did you saw 24?
Menu no. 6 is the tank and its two chambers, you can see how much fuel is left in each one, and the third digit is the total amount of fuel left in the tank.
No. 20 is fuel consumption correction. The no. 1000 is 100%, if you change it to a greater or lesser number the fuel consumption on the digital computer will change too. For example your car burned a certain amount of fuel (e.g. 6l per 100km), and it shows 6.2l, so you have to correct it and change the number to 968, so that it shows 6l not 6.2. A pure mathematics.

Good point, but they used the instant fuel consumption as a trademark instead and the water temp is usually not needed if the car is reliable 😉
