  • Three-day backpacking trip through the Behind the Rocks region outside of Moab, Utah. I only took my pocket camera on this outing, so the the format of this video is a little different than my other trips. This hike took place in October of 2012.

You have some real confidence going it alone in such a dry country. Thanks for the video.

Heya Harry -- thanks again for watching and the comment. Yes, this video is somewhat unique/different in its itinerary and format. At first I wasn't going to do a video for this trip, but looking back I'm glad I did. Cheers! 🌞✌

Nice trip Jamal. Glad to see a new vid. Your Across Utah video inspired me to do 10 days in the Staircase. Saw the Paria, Hogeye, Hackberry, and Wahweap in the Kaiparowits. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Thanks. Keep the vids coming.

Nice video. Did you not see the Snake solstice panel? You walked right past it. It was where you saw all the social trails that you hiked down. Also there is a route into hunter canyon. It is a couple hundred yards downstream from the pour off on the west side. There are some Moki steps.

+Dean Hill No, unfortunately not. I know I was close, but I didn't know exactly where it was located. The spot I thought it was... it wasn't. So, another trip I guess.

Really enjoy your videos. Curious if you have ever encountered any cougars/mountain lions during your excursions.

Thanks. Nope -- over all the years, I've never seen a cougar. I've seen the tracks on several occasions though.
