Hey, I’m back! Kind of… I know that I said I would try to upload more in the last few weeks, but I got a little busier than I thought I would. However, this was something I actually worked on, and intended to upload this like a week ago, but, I got swept up responsibilities and now I have already started classes again, so I kept forgetting to set aside some time to upload this.
I went through multiple ideas as to how this song applies to them in the context of the play’s version. In reality, this video is not too different from the original romance of Eugene and Rapunzel. All I really did was take out Connor (the dead brother), Gothel, the royal stature, etc. In this sort of alternate universe (if you could even call it that), Eugene is dealing with two identities, one as the thief of Flynn Rider, and the other as the genuine Eugene Fitzherbert. Eugene(Flynn), at first, puts up his persona of being a manipulative thief, trying to deny his growing feelings for Rapunzel. When he realizes that he does truly love her, he leaves her, and she realizes just who he is. However, after realizing his mistake, he asks if she is willing to give him another chance, fully willing to be honest with her. Although she is skeptical, he admits to her that although he may have identified as two different people, that his feelings for her were genuine, regardless. In the end, she is able to forgive him, and as time goes on, they eventually get married.
So, although uploads are going to be few and far between again, I do want you all to know that I have been planning out some more videos, as over the past few weeks, I have been listening to nothing but musicals (like, seven different musicals, I’m not kidding), so you will be seeing a variety when I start to return. You’ll be seeing musicals from Beetlejuice, Be More Chill, Heathers, Waitress, Hamilton, etc., and seeing content from Phineas & Ferb, MLP, Helluva Boss, Ducktales, etc. So, whenever these come out, I hope you will be satisfied (get it ;)) with what I provide.
