Top Five Pug Puppy Facts:
1) Everyone knows puppies love to play and romp around! Just be sure
to monitor your pug puppy's activity level to be sure he/she isn't
overexerting themselves to the point of having trouble breathing.
2) Pug puppies can be tough to house train because they are small dogs
and have a lesser capacity to "hold it" than bigger dogs. Be
consistent and kind with your pug puppy and soon they will be house
broken!
3) Treats are a must when training a puppy. Don't reward your pug with
rawhide chews or pig ears because they have been known to cause
intestinal problems in smaller dogs, particularly pugs.
4) Be sure to check the folds in your pug puppy's face for dirt and
clean it right away.
5) Brush your pug puppy once a week to reduce shedding, your furniture

I know this is a cute video and all but sometimes I feel sorry for pugs cause their facial construction was cause by pure or inbreeding (One of the two). It seems to go the same for a lot of species that seem to have a few of their own health issues caused by improper breeding :/
It is actually a desgner dog bred between the 16th and 17th century. Even though it has its health issues, so do other dogs, and thats just life.
Yes and most were caused by pedigree breeding. Just look up the documentary 'Pedigree Dogs Exposed' and you will see the shocking nature of what such breeding can do to a breed of dog.
I love dogs as much as the next person and have loved the dogs I have owned over the years (Most being Staffordshire Bull Terriers), but it makes me sad that a lot of physical and health deformities have been a result of pedigree breeding.
I have four purebred pugs and they have no problem breathing. Keep in mind that we live in a desert.
