I’ve not been to Holland Park it looks quite peaceful and very posh and not too far from Shepherd’s Bush I might have to visit this area next time I’m in London!!! Good one Sanpo 👍🍻
many many years ago I used to live in London, my last year I lived in the neighborhood of St. Jame's Gardens...I left in 2008 and was hoping to come back one day an walk along all the places I've lived and worked. I didn't get a chance to do so yet, but now thanks to this video I did...As if I came back and was walking my way home from Holland Park tube station. Thank you so much!
Every place almost in London you can make or film a movie there ,the view is perfect perfect and so beutiful i feel at london like I'm alice in wonderland
This was one of the first areas I explored when I came to London in 1969. I saw a fore sale sign outside one of the double fronted house in Holland Park. When I looked up the price in a Kensington Agents window I saw the price of £250,000. The Blue Plaque in Addison Avenue is for, who was Director General of the BBC, he also had a distinguished career as a journalist during WW2.
@@sanpostroll2107 You have to realise that a Jaguar E Type only cost £2500 so 100 x the price of an E type and still expensive if you were only earning £20 per week.
Jeremy Travis I'd be very surprised if that's the correct figure! In 1969 the average London house prices was around £4500. By your reckoning, a house in Holland Park was therefore fifty five times more than the average London home. Holland Park may be desirable, but it certainly wasn't that desirable.. £25,000 I can believe. As recently as the late nineties you could buy a fairly substantial house in HP for under a million.
Thumbs up 👍 my friend! 🍭 So beautiful experience! Great city tour! Very nice and wonderful video uploaded 👍👌🤗🤗🙏🏿🙏🏿 I also love explore the city by walking, Thank you for sharing! ✌😃 watching from Saudi Arabia.
very nice balcony with some plants. i might spend time with coffee there. the St, James church is so beautiful from outside. very beautiful buildings design everywhere. i want to go and see inside the St. Francis of Assisi Church
funny enough, at the end of the video if you kept walking and turned right that's where the exterior shots of ab fab (including the house) were filmed! great video!
yes i enjoy the long walk with you, i always do , some areas are very nice with the big houses , they must be rich , it was a beautiful day. take care. thank you for sharing.
I'm glad you do so many of your walks in the Kensington area. It's a nice place to take a walk and enjoy the architecture of these beautiful residential streets. Streets alas I'm not able to afford to live on! Sanpo could you do a walk in Dulwich Park? I've looked on the internet , and there are no decent walks in the this park.
Hi John, I have another video to come and probably I won't do Kensington for a while 😊 Sure I will add on my walking list, I've never been to Dulwich area I will look forward to visiting.
For others it might just be another video but Holland park and 36Holland park will remain forever in my memory. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. However I am pleased your mother enjoyed her trip to London and Holland Park and that my video brought back some good memories. Wishing you all the best. Sanpo.
You should do Richmond Hill, up thru the town to the top, down thru the park, back along the river.....exercise do you good lol, makes for great views by John Mills old house..
Hello Sanpo What a lovely walk through a really nice area. Now the cute little yellow car was it a Fiat? My knowledge on small Europe cars is not as strong as higher price cars. Loved the mews. We would have arrived today in London if all had been back to normal. Here is hoping things will be back to normal in April our next widow of opportunity to go. Take care Chris and Sandra of Canada.
Hello Chris and Sandra, I do hope things are back to normal early next year and we can all travel again. I am pretty sure the little yellow car is a Fiat. It only needs half a parking space.
