Dennehy is the same in every single movie he was in. Walken is mostly walken through. Good, but he can be better. His best movie was Pennies From Heaven. But he is misused. He should be doing Brecht. He should be Mac the Knife.
I thoroughly enjoyed this quaint, understated, little film. A heist film that isn't loud, obnoxious, full of explosions, car chases and foul language. Plus Tom Noonan is a treasure and Cindy Lauper is one gorgeous dame. Definitely worth a look.

It's surprising how many actresses can sing and singers that can act,probably going to the acting schools,they do dance,acting and singing. The true actors is I believe a God given talent... Put on this earth to entertain us, These two are a fine example of that.❤❤

Good performances from the main actors , especially Walken, make this a very watchable movie. Unusual for crime caper movie in that not a shot was fired nor any violence other than Walken taking one punch from a heavy.

Great movie. I'd watch anything with Christopher Walken. Genius actor. He played the best Macbeth I've ever seen. Brilliant. I was terrified that the old woman was Cindi Lauper. Very relieved that it wasn't her. She looks incredible. She's my background music to the 80's. Never seen her in a film before. Why not? She was terrific. Chemistry was great between her and Walken. 👍
This is one of my comfort movies. Admittedly, it's slow and plodding, but CW and CL give wonderful performances. Truth be told, this movie made me fall in love with Cyndi all over again.

The always skeletal looking Christopher Walken great to see him again in another film after 30 years not a day ever marked him like some old actors still look like they are in their prime.
Big kudos to director Myles Connell for the subtle handling of the sequence where Michael Kelly sabotages the car. Connell didn't hit the point home with Thor's Hammer. He didn't treat the audience as idiots. That gave us the thrill of discovery.

I don't remember this back in 2000. They made quite a few of these simple, low budget films back then for the HBO, Cinemax, video rental market. That's why there was a huge boom from the early 80s through 2000 in film production, a massive demand for anything to feed the movie theater, HBO, video market, giving us all a bonanza of great film to choose from.
Wow, that was great! I couldn’t understand what the Irish “cousin” was saying but it added to the charm of the character and didn’t make the story difficult to follow. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved Mr Walken and Mrs Lauper together cute couple . She cleans up Nicely . This movie was a real well done art piece . All the characters played their parts and made them believable . 😅🤣😂
Sound quality echoes throughout, however, a really good crime movie. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thank Q. Oh, Cyndi Lauper is absolutely gorgeous and cannot understand why she didn't take her acting career further. Loved her 1990s music though. Great actress.
