he could sing me terms and conditions and it would still sound smooth as a rock
Some rocks are jagged bro
@@rustagaz then he's jagged smooth
lmao so true😢
Real shit dude
True that would be fire tho
If the moon could listen to music, he would listen to King Krule.
Most accurate description I’ve ever heard
He already is 6 feet beneath it so, I’m sure the moon can hear his songs.
flo martell You’re true
It’s a She.
@@emilianopereda7643 pretty sure planets can be called any pronoun
this song feels like 30 seconds
Yooooo if I didn't read this comment and subconsciously slowed time down in my mind. I woulda felt the same way...
Oh shit the songs over....
Ohmy yes! I was in trance
Forreal.
this new king krule album is gonna be a 10/10 im calling it
taxxicaab I agree, I feel like this is gonna be his magnum opus. The mood seems so unique and focused. It seems simplified. I can’t wait.
No it wont be, calling it lol
Nathan Rose if it is I will be shocked out of my mind, I genuinely think the Ooz is the best album I’ve heard in the past 10 years. I’d say Ooz and Kanye’s west twisted fantasy. I still listen to those projects asking myself how did they do it.
Nah. Ooz was his prime and can’t be topped, calling it bow
@@Southforthewinter I feel the same way about The Ooz and it will definitely be difficult to top, but I'm optimistic. The songs on Hey World! will all be on the new album and they're some of his best work imo.
You like me lobster don’t ye, Archy?
"Yer fond of me lobster, aren't ye?!"
HARK
WHAT I legit JUST watched this movie holy shit
*farts in scripted*
Everyone felt the conection
King Krule has the best visuals for his songs
paulisthelegend its a band not just archy my mans
@@andigoldberger4713 I know bud. Most people do. 99% of people still refer to archy as KK tho. lmao
paulisthelegend its still wrong bruh like just don‘t give this guys credit even though he‘s only the voice of it
@@andigoldberger4713 Respectfully, without Archy, there wouldn't even be a song for the band to work on. He comes up with the composition and they help him execute it. He's not just the voice. He's the artist that we all come here for
paulisthelegend haha yeah i know i was just pissed and didn‘t think too mich about my wording i just wanted to make clear the band is important
it’s not a king krule track if he doesn’t talk about being bathed in grey
Its not a King Krule track of he doesn't mention black, blue or grey at some point
He was forcefully bathed in grey as a young lad, Very traumatic childhood experience.
@@ibm_businessman6033 how u know dis
Always liked how he referenced other songs in his lyrics.
"room's bathed in gray" and I painted my room gray 1 year ago
"i wrap myself inside my duvet" thanks archie, this song brings so much comfort that the majority of people could never do
Lyrics:
I hang my head for those
Who ain’t been held too close
In times of pain
When the ceiling drips
Rooms bathed in grey
Outside’s a trip
For another day
I keep telling those
Expelling those
Negative holds
To go away
But it seems to grip
More everyday
Walls get taller
I self-medicate
And how did you get this low?
That’s what their illness spoke for every word they had to say
Better off just leaving me this way
Guess this ain’t the world that I dreamt of
How many hits can one come take?
How many digs can one soul make?
I wrap myself inside my duvet
You think those blue giants feel the same?
You think they ever have these days? (x3)
Thank you so much, I'll always be indebted to you...
Who do you think the blue giants are?
boris smalov blue giants is a nod to an old french film in which there is a race of blue giants otherwise known as the "draag." hence the "draag on" in the title of the song.
Pure poetry, and like all great poetry only a few will appreciate it
@@evanhedley2685 oh! you're right :) wouldn't have thought of or remembered that thank u
This slowly morphed into my favorite song on the album
Dark, heavy, and soothing. Keep the head up Archy. Like you said years ago, 'If you're going through hell, well just keep going'
Actually that's Winston Churchill quote
It's a nice the Streets song too
When he sings "Guess this ain't the world that I dreamt of. . ." while it pans out and you see him on a stake gave me chills...
Honored to be so early.
saw the notification and clicked within a second
Same here
envy
Right?!
For real
I hang my head for those who ain't been held too close in times of pain
Krule making the post-WW3 soundtrack
me at the beginning: wow the lighting is so cool it kinda looks like he’s being burnt at the stake haha
me at the end: .......
😆
Yea sure you did boomer
same exact thought
saaaaaame
Rip
for me these visuals really brought out the viciousness in the vocal delivery. i didn’t hear it before without the facial expressions and the lighting but with it’s meaner, painful, fed up.
True
agreed. “i guess this ain’t the world that i dreamt of” spoken by a man being burned at the stake by fellow humans hits quite harder.
He went from Archy Marshall to Archy Marshmello quick
We’re all here because we’re all going through some shit rn don’t lie
It tastes like toast with depression jam, I love it.
That's it, I'm maining King Krule in Smash Ultimate now
archie's equivalent of earl's "grief"
shut up
More like Solace given the slow build up of him being burned at the stake.
When you wanna watch Midsommar and Lighthouse at the same time
Best post-nut music on the planet.
You’re onto something
wtf i just came & had the urge to listen to krule 😂😂
😂😂😂
Goddamn prophet over here
pain
This song beautifully tackles depression, psychoses, mental illness... Him being burned at the stake is also very interesting, I understand it as follows: back in middle ages, but also in 17th century America, witches were killed this way. It turns out what these era of humanity, driven by religion, considered as "witches" were people we would, with our contemporary day logic, identify as having a mental illness. Here, Archy travels back in time and depicts what would have happened to him.
Would love to hear how you guys interpret this clip :)
I relate this one to what aspergers/autism feels like heavily, and lyrics are normally never my focus in a song. the vibe and bends in those guitars + tapedeck drums with the surreal vissualistic lyrics coming out of his caramel voice as a bonus
at least metaphorically for me lmao the song is about what you commented entirely and the video is perfect
No witches were actually burned at the stake. A lot were executed but none were burned. Morbid fun fact
@@danielgoobler7608 You're right, Salem witches weren't burnt at the stake - I actually learnt about that a few months after posting this comment ! But middle ages witches were killed that way, weren't they ?
Actually this videoclip is voiced to be a reference to the movie Joan of Arc
Blows my mind thinking about this song. This tune was my rediscovery of KK since hearing bleak Blake in 2011/2012. Winter 2019/ early 2020 feels like lifetimes ago now, but the upload date reads "1 year ago."
I feel so far away from the person who was walking through campus listening to this on repeat, yet, not much time has passed at all.
this song brings me to tears. it took a couple months for me to come back and actually read the lyrics, but the amount of emotion and pure artistry here is just beautiful. i guess it's because I can relate, but every line just hits so hard. for everyone else who can relate to this song, i feel for you and wish nothing but the best
Archy really watched The Lighthouse and said "ight imma do that"
😂
Yeah, but like who wouldnt
@@alicealire1305 ikr
No he's had this style for a good while.
@@struggler8532 never seen him shoot a video with film and a 1:1 aspect ratio in black and white with a lot of grain
That’s it, I’m going to the UK to listen in person
King Krule back at it again with the old aesthetic videos and the lofi sounding music.
Damn he seems so happy in this video
I hold my head for those/ who ain't been held too close/ in times of pain
🤦🏿♂️🔥 I felt that cuhz
Archy Season 2020 😤😈
I love how much certain lines and influences just stick through his music and creative stylings, it makes him come across as that much more genuine.
archy marshall, i love you. thank you for existing.
These lyrics speak directly to my soul.
This is a really haunting song, I keep coming back to it.
THANK YOU FOR BLESSING OUR EARS
I came here to my daily "Hey World" dose, and i found this.
Beautiful.
At the bottom of my psyche, sometimes motivated to swim upwards but I'm mostly stuck here. I can never get out and every day is unrelenting hell and torment. Somedays I wonder if I'll ever make it out, probably not unless I get really drastic and gallowdance in the backyard. I don't care for mourning sobs, for what lay in wait beyond all of this... I just don't want to feel pain. I just don't want to be here.
pain can be an incredible motivator and poetry is the perfect outlet.
Wow, we really about to be blessed with another classic.
Whatever you hear, is what you're meant to hear.
Why´d ye spill yer beans?
Vincent Vega ayeeee
HAAAAARK
if i had a steak....
Did ya kill a gull?
Woke up while I’m sick to hear this. I think this song will cure me today.
Update: I think it actually cured me.
Me too man me too
god i missed his mellow and restless voice so much. i can tell he put plenty of time and dedication into this project and that’s obviously why we had to wait so long, but it’ll obviously be worth it. so honored to be inspired by you. a new era and my third year with you. much love, arch x
The beat is a slowed down version of the “blood stained sheets” song from his Miami show a few years ago. Interesting
Rockin Records hmmmmm
it’s a little different but i still hope blood stained sheets comes out
no
am i the only one who don't hear the similarities between both tracks ? seems to me like two completely different track
"Don't let the dragon drag on, man" - Jake
My uncle , who is normally hating anything that isn’t straight jazz or R&B has been silently listening to this whole album with me unbeknownst to him.
im seeing u in amsterdam this year and this only increases the hype KING KING KING
same. im so fucking happy that i got a ticket. never been so hyped for anything in my life
Eyyy me too i can feel the unreleased songs and the hypeeee
So jealous of you, my random internet fellows
Awesome! seeing him in Austin 🤘🏻
The musical work of Archy is cinematographic, a little bit melancholic and smooth at the same time.
EMANON. He does paint some good stories in many songs. Biscuit Town and Dum Surfer are my favorites.
@@XxfishpastexX Yes, these songs are very good. He is very creative. If I make music someday, he will be one of my influences.
His artistic sensibilities are undeniable. Great taste + creative vision = more albums to spend my money on. Love this man.
Earl Sweatshirt needs to be on this🙌🏾❤️
damn, the new guitars actually add so much to the song, good shit archy i can’t wait for the next album
Hey Archie
hey bandstand
You’re everywhere

oh how I have missed him
Seems like this little man feels much better than he used to
he has became a dad recently
Love how he’s very spoken word based, something deeply artistic and abstract about his work.
me too
Battle through it (6 feet beneath the moon) Consume it (The OOZ) Then let it go girl (Man Alive).
When ever I think of what listening to king krule is like, I always think of a grey gloomy morning where you are contemplating your existence
This dude is ridiculously good.
Another 3:22 a.m. playing this
Mr. Krule on that nightmare moodwave
I love that his live versions and album versions can have completely different vibes. You can be feeling different versions at different times.
This video is deep.
Wow the album is so good.... Drugs... being a new father.... how phones are ruining the world.... depression... connection... Archy is going through the same things we are, he just knows how to put it all into sounds that are beautiful and sad.
Haven’t been able to fall asleep for the past 2 hours. Hopefully this puts my mind at ease
diego i’ve had trouble with sleeping for i don’t remember how long. hang in there, hope you get rest (:
lonely blue thank you I hope the same for you
Going from UK to Brooklyn, New York in april to see King Krule! Counting down the days.. So excited!!!
Best thing I heard of him in a whiiiiile
I'm so eager to listen to his upcoming projects now.

the visuals, damn.
King krule truly is an artist. Each of his songs are ap original and catchy and beautiful. Hes so young too.
my favorite part is when he says EEH EER EEH EER
lol savage
lol im fucking done
wow i'm loving the trailer for the new bone-chilling character driven no jump scares A24 horror movie, good for archy that he got a part. A24 is such an amazing production company, I'm sure the film will be great!
LMAOOOO what
Guys we’re getting an AOTY on February 21st✨
How do you know for sure?
wtf is a aoty
My God, Archie's music just always manages to hit my mental soft spot. Can't wait for your new record, sir.
This album is insane I am blown away
This is the world I want to live in.
i keep watching this. literally the more i watch it, the better it gets. cannot wait for this album.
This album is gonna be amazing, so glad you're back
Literally just got into Archy's stuff 2 days ago and this happens
This beat is infectious.
this is the coolest music video of the year
he's evolving fucking constantly as an artist, bravo archy
blessings to you and Charlotte and ur family
Never ceases to amaze with these riffs
You may be cool, but you'll never be Archie burning at the stake cool.
wowza, Archy's back babeh
Been listening to krule since I was about 15 just seeing this man make amazing music for such a long time is beautiful
love this song forever
A wild legend appears
Starting the new decade right. Beautifully written, directed, and performed.
I’m going to spend so many weeknights crying to this album, and I can’t fucking wait
So, this is what I could make up for the lyrics, feel free to correct me or add anything, since the official lyrics haven’t come out yet:
To be human (x6)
I hold my head for those
Who ain’t been held too close
In times of pain
When the ceiling drips
Rooms bathed in grey
Outside’s a trip
For another day
I keep telling those
Expelling those
Negative hoes
To go away
But it seems to grip more everyday
Walls get taller
Self medicate
And how did you get this low?
That’s what the illness spoke
For every word they had to say
Better off just leaving me this way
Guess this ain’t the world that I dreamt of
How many hits can one bum take?
How many things come one or many?
I wrap myself inside my duvet
that last lyric is "i wrap myself inside my duvet"
i think that the "other sides" line is - outside's a trip, and when the "seeder" is "when the ceiling drips" he seems to be describing a room and his surroundings, like when he mentions walls later in the verse
and "expeditors" seems to be "expelling those"
Thought it was "negative hoes" lol
this song is also in his "hey world" video
If I had money I would produce a feature film for Archie. I'm pretty old and I always thought people should do more interesting things with music vids. He does the most interesting stuff in years.
He has family members old and new into film so
long live the king
Beyond excited for this album. Can’t wait to see you on tour archyyyyyy
Archy watched The Lighthouse
this is how i know i’m a real fan waking up to this
Allan Pizza I know you’re a fan cuz I’ve seen you comment a few times
Love you Archy.
