If you sacrificed Arcadia bay in the first season of life is strange, the town will appear to be destroyed by the tornado. As Sean and Brody talk, you get to see the fate of the town.
Two brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz, 16 and 9, are forced to run away from home after a tragic incident in Seattle. In fear of the police, Sean & Daniel head to Mexico while attempting to conceal a sudden and mysterious supernatural power.
Life on the road is tough and now totally responsible for his much younger brother, Sean begins to realise that his decisions will impact their lives forever…

No. If you sacrificed Arcadia Bay, you killed EVERYONE ELSE - Frank, Kate, Nathan, Victoria, Alyssa, Ms. Grant, Principal Wells, Joyce...the good people and the bad. It was made clear in the game you were choosing the town and everyone in it or Chloe.

Kinda' funny how some people try to pass their opinions around as facts without doing a simple research. The devs said it themselves: no one knows for sure who died and who survived during the storm. The fate of the likes of Warren, Joyce, Wells, etc. is ambiguous. Kate was supposed to be picked up from the hospital by her family during the morning of that day so theoretically she should be alive regardless. They left that ending open for interpretation on purpose.
It breaks my heart when I see destroyed Arcadia Bay, yet it looks.. weirdly beautiful. But 'alive' Arcadia Bay looks definitely more beautiful and magical. I love this game, Life is Strange in general. I would love to live in some place like Arcadia Bay. My wish is to travel to Oregon just to see similar views

Arcadia Bay is a lot like Tillamook Bay and Florence combined !! I'm from Oregon (in Eugene, where U of O is, Drew North from Before The Storm applied for college there) which makes me love the game a million times more :) it's beautiful

I'm no hardcore "Max and Chloe all the way and Lis 2 sucks" kind of guy and I'm honestly excited to see how Sean and Daniel's story pans out. However, I do believe at some point everything is eventually going to come together is full circle with stories/franchises like this, especially when a lot of these supernatural elements and stories are talking place or at least originating in the same geographical region and share so many similar characteristics.
If you look at the map of LiS 2 and then go back to the conversations and places covered in LiS 1, there may be a lot of potential for Sean and Daniel to cross paths with Max and Chloe.
Max and Chloe both talked a lot about going to California and a bulk of the listed "locked" location on Sean's map in LiS 2 are in California. If we don't see Max and Chloe in person, it wouldn't surprise me to see more Easter Eggs in the form of magazines, posters, news and etc of them.
Also I'm not sure how Dontnod's production cycle works but based on the episode release dates of LiS 1, the season is spread out over 10 months. Who knows if fan pressure will make the studio flake and have them add in a Max and Chloe appearance in later episodes or better yet add in a bonus episode like LiS BTS.
This scene really hits me, I mean when finishing the first game you really don't understand what really happened. After I saw that plate and the music from LIS 1 started playing it really hit me... People died, people we got to know and talk to just so Chloe could live; some people might not see it this way but giving the circumstance it's still FUCKED UP. great game and great easter egg.
thats why I chose to kill Chloe.. Over thousands of others, its not worth it. One girl is not worth innocent lives.
Well yeah that's why sacrifice Chloe was more like the real ending... because it just made more sense to chose that one xD
Yeah, I keep wondering why people chose to sacrifice the town so easily. Sure, Chloe is safe, but her mom, Warren, all the kids from school including that pregnant girl, the nice old homeless lady - they are all dead. How can anyone be fine with that?

I looked through the acheivments of LIS2 and it's possible that you might see a lot more about them in the later episodes, take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah saving the town is (morally) the right thing to do. But a lot of people have trouble letting go, even if it's self destructive.

I have a feeling regardless of what choice you made in the first one no one is going to see Chloe in this game. I really don't see them make such a drastic change in the stories to where some people will meet or see her and some people won't. The most that I see happening is something small like you find a magazine with her face on it like she's some famous tattoo artist now if you chose to save her or the magazine has something else on it if you chose Arcadia. Don't get me wrong I would LOVE to meet her and Max again in the game, but from a developer stand point I don't see them doing that.

Meeting/seeing two characters wouldn't be that drastic of a change.
Having a full-blown conversation would be a pretty drastic change, but just being able to encounter them? That's not that big of a change. It also wouldn't be hard for them to add Max and Chloe in the background of one scene, or in their truck traveling down the highway as a small cameo.
That said, I think it's probably unlikely to happen.
It's unlikely yeah, especially after they've stated so many times that they were done with them. Tbh, I feel like meeting Max and Chloe would take the attention away from the ongoing story. :/
My best hope was to see Arcadia Bay, and I'm glad we did. I kinda wish we saw more of it but ha well.
On the one hand, I understand what you mean, but on the other hand I really don't care about the ongoing story at all.
I just don't really care about the kid in this scene or his little brother anywhere near as much as I did Max and Chloe. I think it could've been better if the entirety of Episode 1 was spent in Seattle, and only at the very end of the episode does the scene with the police happen. They rushed things along far too much, in my opinion.

Its cool that we get to see Arcadia Bay again, but it doesn't feel quite right to me. When I sacrificed Arcadia Bay, I felt that many would die and the town would be destroyed. But I also believed that some would survive and the town would eventually be rebuilt. This just doesn't feel too realistic to me. Hopefully in future episodes, we can meet people who survived the tornado and maybe just moved to a different place?
No one survives. All of Arcadia Bay were sacrificed for Chloe if you choose to do so. That includes Kate, Warren, Joyce, Victoria, all Max's and Chloe's friends. My Canon playthrough had Arcadia Bay saved. When I saw the light house and the town lit up I was happy. Whichever ending you chose in your playthrough is Canon for you.

Also, since we went back in time to the Vortex Club party, the fortified dark room/storm shelter is still there and the cops haven't raided it, right? This means Jefferson could be down there, or Sean Prescott, or even Nathan if Jefferson lied and he is still alive.
1XUndeadSoldierX1 It wasn't a natural tornado, though. It was _massive._ And caused by instability in the entire universe. I don't think tornadoes even strike that part of America, do they?

Late but ikr, the moment I heard that in game was the most emotion that chapter got from me (I didn’t really dig the woke factor of the game and also Daniel and Sean didn’t really engage me that much).

There is no true version, your LiS1 ending is your own canon. Saving Arcadia Bay feels like the right decision and seeing Arcadia Bay in LiS2 with the light house lit up just makes it feel hopeful and alive and Chloe's sacrifice was not in vain.

Honestly, I sacrificed Chloe but even just being near that town makes my heart shift in my chest. Whether the town is there or not, it's a reminder that everything is connected and almost a foreshadowing to big events in the future

I think it'd be cool if Max made a cameo but it'd probably be really sad if she did because whether Chloe lives or dies she still lost something important to her, and it be interesting to see her living with the consequences. It also be a good way to influence the players choices with the brothers in this game
Well it depoends on which ending you picked for Max if it was save Chloe and let Arcadia Bay die then I think Chloe would have helped Max in that tough time.
However, if she let Chloe die then I think that would hurt Max a lot and as this game is set in October of 2016 three years after Chloe's death then Max might not even live in Arcadia Bay, the wekk that never was could be simple too painful for Max, she might go back once a year to place flowers on Chloe's grave, but that would be it.
But the new comic should be good I want more Max and Chloe both are great friends.

What happens if you do the other ending? there's no way a town like Arcadia bay stays abandoned for 3 years while towns griped in Tornado areas and Hurricanes always get rebuilt all the time.
Well in all fairness Arcadia bay had a time storm or something caused by alternate realities converging on one point in time
In the other ending, the town is very alive, as if nothing happened. Instead of the plaque remembering the dead, there's a map of the town for tourists.

People get strange notions. A tornado off of the Pacific coast? Since when? The feel that the place was bad luck would have been pervasive and would have driven an exodus of the survivors.
Arcadia Bay was a dying place anyway: Sean Prescott's little personal Monopoly board that was slowly forcing out all but those too poor with the failure of the fishing industry to escape. If he died in the storm then there would have been no-one really in a position to rebuild, even if they wanted to.
So, Max chose to sacrifice thousands of lives to save Chloe, including some very important people in her life like Kate, Warren and Joyce. I'm sure Chloe didn't appreciate that, especially when she specifically asked Max to save them all.
It's up to you, Arcadia bay can be ther saved and Chloe dead

Not really. Otherwise, there would be no point in her saying "whatever you choose, I know you'll make the right decision." She has Max's back and viceversa regardless.
They were important but she literally just screamed at her face that she is her top priority then
Kate was out of town and David in the dark room. But joyce, frank, pompidou, and Warren get blown up in the diner since you weren't there to block the fire with sand. The rest of the characters I didnt care as much about. Yeah it sucks they died but Chloe lives. People dont seem to understand the importance of Chloe in Max's life. If this was real life, I'd choose Chloe anyday.

Well, technically she didn't destroy the town (she just let it to be destroyed by inaction) but she was involuntarily responsible for it's destruction as it was her actions (saving Chloe) that caused the storm.

No it's not. Sure, it sucks they die like that but Chloe is the most important thing in Max's life. Most of Arcadia sucked anyways and was corrupt as hell. The only people I feel bad for are Joyce, frank, the dog, and Warren in the diner. Kate is out of town during the storm and David is in the dark room.

Thousands of people who were not corrupt or mean, men, women, children, people with hopes and dreams, people who helped other people, other students with art hopes, poor victims of Jefferson or Nathan, young children who had done nothing wrong.
I don't think they are worth the life of Chloe.

And as to what gives me(Max) the right? Whatever or however she got her powers is. That's like asking someone "would you rather save your daughter from cancer or save 100 people from an earthquake in some random place in the world?" Based on the game itself, sacrificing Chloe is the more canonical ending - or at least the more fleshed out one. The comic for sacrificing the town is partly redressing the balance - or at least that's what I heard.

Okay so I play on Xbox one and for episode 2 when the characters talk there’s no audio is anyone else having the same problem because I really need to get this fixed.
So now Arcadia Bay is gone, that would mean that Chloe is still alive
I wonder if Max really did set the timeline for 2..i mean, the fact they showed you Arcadia Bay destroyed kind of hints at it if you chose to destroy the bay.
Also when you stay at the motel, if u check out a map on the wall you can see a place called Frank's marijuana place or something but legal... I don't quite remember but it has to be Frank who survived the destruction.

@@stutudi4881 No because this scene with Arcadia Bay destroyed is only in the final where you choose to sacrifice the city. If you choose to sacrifice Chloe then there will be a scene where you see Arcadia Bay still lit and alive.

I don't fucking know why I keep have this feeling that Brody could be the next main villain of the series... He's good but acts creepy sometimes, you find him almost in the beginning of the game, and he keeps have a role even in episode 2. Life Is Strange 2 Episode 1 Roads felt a lot like Life Is Strange in the feels I got from it the environment (into the woods) the lighting, the soundtrack (into the woods) passing by Arcadia Bay, seeing Arcadia Bay on the map in the hotel room and Sean making a drawing of Arcadia Bay's lighthouse, but when Life Is Strange 2 Episode 2 Rules started it immediately stopped reminding me of Life Is Strange. Weird how video games can just do that like that and then stop. I'm also glad we got to see the letter from Principal Wells of Blackwell Academy to Chris Eriksen's mother Emily, that was also a nice throwback to Life Is Strange. I'm glad we got to see and speak to David Madsen about losing Arcadia Bay in Life Is Strange 2 Episode 5 Wolves and seeing that polaroid of Max and Chloe, it was nice to get a throw back to Life Is Strange again. I like Life Is Strange 2 more than Life Is Strange though. Sean and Daniel are more relatable and their love for one another is just so beautiful.
So the sacrifice Town is the canon one... that means chloe is alive and with max. Do you think maybe they could make a cameo. Maybe Max could give the little kid some advice about controlling his powers?
Sacrificing Arcadia Bay is such a shit thing to do. Max and Chloe let their family and friends die just so they can be together. Messed up. I couldn't bring myself to choose Chloe over Arcadia Bay. One life for the lives of many. I'm a fuckin' HERO... yeeaah.
It'd be nice to see a cameo from Max and Chloe … just seeing them and interacting with Sean and Daniel for like 1 second would be really cool. But of course, that's up to the developers

Many youtubers have a theory that Rachel is the storm. But what if she wasn't. What if Daniel is the person who created the storm? Think about it, in Life is Strange 2 Daniel doesn't control his powers, I mean, every time he is mad his powers go out of control. So we know that if Max chooses the ending 'save chloe' then they drive in Arcadia Bay and everything is wiped out and the drive out of Arcadia Bay. Why is that? Because they need to earn money, so Max and Chloe drive the same road as Sean did (when Sean was on the bridge of Arcadia Bay) and they find a weed farm, one of the weed farms where Sean was working. Then future Max meets Daniel and as we all know, Daniel is so innocent and playful, one day he was too full of joy and laughter where he accidentally bumped into Max, the two great powers collide and they were transported to Life is Strange 1, first episode. Max said: don't worry daniel, i will time travel us back to our own time. Daniel did not hear Max, as Daniel was sinking deeper into the darkness he lost all hope of seeing Sean again. As Daniel was crying to go back to their own time, he created a tornado, and then after that Max warped herself and Daniel back to the future again. The end. (loop confirmed)
I still don't get why there was no option to convince people to go away from AB before the storm comes. Like I mean you're in your old home town and know that it will be ripped away by a storm and you don't tell eby one about it, not even the mother of your best friend a person you know since your childhood?
If the lighthouse was destroyed....how did Max and Chloe survive? Did the sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending where they're driving into town really even happen? When I saw that ending I was wondering why they were smiling when their friends and family could have been killed...I think they were smiling because that was some afterlife sequence. *shivers*
Gah the old game was weird and kinda compelling this game feels like an anti Trump political ad that ran in 2016 and I don't like. I know racist things happen in the US all the time but this happening to a Hispanic family of immigrants in the Pacific North West in Seattle which is a sanctuary city for literally no possible reason is ridiculous and they just hammer you with it more as the story goes. The original had cringe moments but it didn't feel like I was watching LGBT propaganda.
So everyone..you know... from the storm. Makes me not wanna save Chloe in the first game.
It's a shame how many people either couldn't or wouldn't see the merit of choosing the option that saved more lives because "bae>bay" and the notion that its somehow more heartless to sacrifice Chloe than to let all those people die, this certainly helps validate the pragmatists(tho I def feel like this scene has more emotional impact than the alternative)

Wait... what...? Why is the arcadia bay destroyed? Is the final with chloe the true final? Or was anything worth it?? Even killing Chloe the tornado destroyed everything?? So is the draw that we see in before the storm true? Did Max really killed herself? And Chloe? Did she died with the city??
If Arcadia bay is destroyed, then Chloe stills alive, which means that the comic made by Titan is the correct timeline. Damn. (I haven’t played LIS 2 so I didn’t knew that)
