"WWE Legend "The Vampire Warrior" Gangrel discusses an altercation incident he had with Ric Flair during the Hulkamania Australia tour in the early 2000's which Gangrel was working with the office for. Gangrel also discusses his opinion of Hulk Hogan and if he thinks Hogan will return to WWE anytime soon.

Gangrel didn't get the push he deserved. He became a whipping boy, particularly after edge and Christian left the brood. He had the persona to stand out, and that entrance music was perfect for him. One example of WWF being shortsighted.

Every Hulk Hogan story involving an altercation involves him breaking it up or smoothing it over after. Hulk Hogan, John Cena, and Rock were three guys Vince didn’t have to worry about bailing out of jail after a barfight. They were, and are, the smooth talkers.

I've heard alot of people call Hogan a coward but I've also heard stories of him approaching a pissed off Haku to talk him out of beating the crap out of his friend Brutus the Barber though and with Haku's reputation about fighting he doesn't seem like a person you want to stand in front of when he's angry
The 3 of them were also mediocre-to-bad in the ring, regularly squashed younger talents due to their fragile egos, were over-exposed to a nauseating degree, and were booked in a stupidly beneficial way at the expense of everyone else at every turn.
Gangrel honestly deserves to be In the hall of fame. His theme his gimmick his entrance with Edge & Christian was fucking awesome.

The brood should’ve had edge and Christian as tag champs and gangrel as intercontinental champion. Maybe even change the title look while they held it.
If he was pushed/booked correctly, Gangrel could have been a top guy in the WWF, even though he has an "odd" gimmick i reckon he could've eventually been akin to someone like the Undertaker, one of those top stars that held the world title only a handful of times but because of their gimmick/personality had the staying and drawing power.
I like Gangrel, but there is zero chance in hell that ever would or could have happened. He wasnt that type of draw or talent, and he was AWFUL in terms of promos. He was so bad at promos, in fact, that it basically killed the Brood.
I always think of Meatloaf when I see Gangrel. 😇

Super good guy. Stopped in my LQ store on his way to The Gathering of the Juggalos . The Charlie Sheen year and he wasn't arrogant or a dick. Guy was down to earth and cool to the max. Gangrel is one of the good guys.

Gangrel played an evil creature of the underworld and even had implants to look the part, but every interview I've seen he was one of the most polite and down to earth guys I've seen. Good story teller too. I'm just picturing this scene with a very drunk Brian Christopher, a drunk, rowdy Naitch, a sober and angry Gangrel cleaning puke off his shoes, and Hogan playing peace keeper.

A lot of older wrestlers have some kind of change in their voices. I noticed it in Shane Douglas, X-PAC, gangrel, and others. It's not just aging either, it's something else. It gets all croaky or something. Maybe it's from taking somas, lol

Flair seems like he became a much more humble, nicer person after his son tragically died and after his near-fatal health issues. There was a time from around 2003 to 2013 or so when he just seemed like a miserable prick. It's kind of like Lex Luger. He seems like the nicest, most positive guy in the world now after all his health problems.

Lots of people are super complimentary about Hogan on a personal basis, but not so much politically. Tonnes of people have shit on Flair personally, but agree that he's unselfish when it comes to business.

Secular Scot much of the problems people have with Hogan were because he wouldn't put anyone over. Can you blame him though? In a business where the result of the matches are pre-determined but the guy on top makes the most money, what is the incentive to give up your spot to help others? It's not like him being on top all those years hurt the business.

When I met Gangrel, he had signed a picture of him and Goldust, whom my Mother had met prior. Goldust stated to my Mother that Ahmed Johnson was the BIGGEST dick in the Attitude Era. When I had asked him about it, he said as he signed the photo “One time, Ahmed wanted me to take a clothesline over the top rope, and I ain’t doing that shit. That’s how I broke my shoulder! Then Ahmed said ‘You’re going over, mf.’ I said ‘Okay, mf. We’ll see about that...’ As soon as he ran at me like a bull, all I did was drop down and pull the top row with me, and he ended up in the 3rd row of the crowd...When he came back in, he locked up with me and he was like ‘You weren’t kidding!’ No. No, I wasn’t.” I fucking loved talking to this guy. One of my ALL TIME FAVORITES!!!!🤘🏼🩸

Ole claimed that Flair pressured some young guy into making a big bet then tried to Welsh on it when he lost. But then again it seems alot of people are completely different people drunk vs sober. My Wife told me that her favorite Uncle would give you the shirt off his back when sober. But when drunk all he wanted to do was fight. From all the drinking I've heard Flair done I wonder if he was ever completely sober. Of course theirs also the possibility of being stupid just being part of Flairs nature. Who knows?
