I find it quite therapeutic myself
Okay, so this is what I have to say on the matter. I did not care that the original video had a different voice. In fact, I didn't mind it. But what I really love is Matty Boy went ahead and did us a HUGE FAVOR and took the criticism, and put his voice over. What I love even more is (I'll be corrected if I'm wrong in saying this) he literally covered word for word what the other voice was saying, and that is f'n hilarious and is such a Matty move.

Thinking your way through the course. I have heard you talk about that ad nauseum. I was able to do that yesterday, and along with taking time on nearly EVERY putt, scored 40 on the back 9. Thinking your way through, getting a driver (or longer than 200) club you can trust will make a big difference.
Think box play box will help a ton too.

What happened to Matty Attenborough? Jokes aside these are my favorite videos. I've watched the J-Mac breaking videos at least a dozen times each.
These vids are testament to keeping your cool not letting a bad shot get to you, because you can still have a respectable round if you stay in a positive frame of mind. My last round I started off with a triple on #1, and my aim at address was way off on the opening holes - and somehow I ended up with an 89 thanks to holeing out from greenside rough on 14, and a birdie on 18. It seemed "ugly" but I kept my cool and I responded to my errors rather than think helplessly why I wasn't hitting the ball and worry about the next shot in fear. Thanks Matt!

I finally broke 90 last week. I focused on my bump and runs and gave myself a chance at two putting. It wasn't pretty, but man, it felt great breaking 90 😊

This is the best example you could have presented validating your opinion regarding the importance of the mental approach. No duffs, and a playable tee ball is a great initial goal for most of us.

Yes staying positive is key.I remember a game i started triple, double bogey then bogey playing off 7,when one of my playing partners (never played with before) commented i should see the club secretary about my h/cap.I played the rest of the course in 2 under because his comment focused my mind on one shot at a time.

31 (+3) with the driver. I have always said the greatest tool you have in golf is not in your bag, It is course management. Keep the content coming.

Agree on partial wedge shots, but with a caveat. If you CAN find a way to get good at those, I would set aside the advice about hitting to specific distances. I've got a sweet little 18 holes pitch and putt near my home with holes between 55 and 105 yards. Playing there regularly has made me feel comfortable with any distance from my full PW (135) down to right around the green. The confidence to get it on the green from anywhere trickles up into my irons and tee game. I know if I can get it into wedge range, on any number, I'm mostly going to get down in about 3 shots from there.

Yes it will. I’ve been strength training for 8 months. Ball is 15 yards longer off my irons

Shot 102 after 18 even with 2 quads and a quintuple bogey due to making some clutch putts inside 6 feet maybe? Either way I averaged a 5.07 in 15 holes and went +9 in my last seven holes after deciding to hit a 4 iron off the tee instead of a 3 wood and playing from 6300 or less instead of 6500-6600 before the round
The big take away today is scoring… Well, course management and scoring… Hitting to comfortable distances, laying up when needed, weighing risk / benefit situations.
I find a lot of people who break 90 are a little bit more creative and intentional. Shots are planned with various end results in mind.
I think planning your shots is absolute Money
