- I play through 4AD Dungeon Deck: Roads of Peril. Two new quester join the party. See if they survive. See if they make their way through the Roads of Peril.
I feel like they need a Tavern Hopping adventure. You go from tavern to tavern and gradually get drunker (except the Dwarf) and have to fight off bouncers and cutpurses.
That’s a great idea!!
Thanks for the video! For what it's worth, I like the shuffling sound :P
Thank you! I kind of look at the shuffling as gamer ASMR! 😂
@@magehammersgametable Totally! I find it to be soothing :)
You could have also completed the Secluded Mansion side-quest for an extra 50GP (deliver letter to an Abbey) on the return journey to collect the boss bounties.
Yes. I often don’t play optimally. It’s a curse, really.
Wow, someone complained about you shuffling the cards. Good lord.
Great video, thank you for showcasing these decks, I had seen them but not really understood how to use them. Now I do and look forward to using them!
They are fun! Glad to be of service! Enjoy! And thanks for watching!
Thanks for putting effort in to masking the sound of the card shuffling. It definitely made watching the video easier. I'm really enjoying these playthroughs of the dungeon decks. Keep it up!
Thanks for watching! More to come.
We need more shuffling sound. It is like ASMR to my ears
@@NicholsonNeisler-fz3gi I wish I could say the same. Instead, for me it triggers my misophonia.
You could use 1d12 to choose the cards instead of constantly shuffling and drawing
Yes. I saw someone in the Facebook 4AD Group uses that method. Thanks for watching!!
I think Sindranthar (sp) may be my new favorite character. 😆 Couple of things about this adventure that caught my attention: the Hobgoblin Captain had a 4 in 6 chance to parry Bonderthon's exploding dice attack did it not? Also, the Tribal Warriors in the hour and six minute fight were d6+1 and you rolled a 1 but fought 7 of them. And at the last settlement you had the optional mission to deliver a letter to an Abbey and you passed through 2 of them on your way back to town... so I think you should just add 50gp to your party. 💰 Also, I thought your favorite book was Lord of the Flies?
Hey, Chris! Thanks for watching! I caught the Hobgoblin Captain ability too late. I am still upset by it. I am rubbish with numbers sticking in my brain. I often roll the dice and forget what I rolled! So, I erred on the side of butt kicking and went with the most I could. I will add the money because I am sure the heroes delivered those letters on their way home.
Thanks for continuing to be my biggest fan! See you at the next video!
I read The Road and it ousted The Catcher in the Rye from my number one favorite book spot. Lord of the Flies is top ten for sure. The Road was the first book that actually brought tears to my eyes, and any book that can evoke a genuine emotional reaction has to be my favorite book.
@@magehammersgametable Yeah, Catcher in the Rye, that was it. I'll have to check out The Road.
Just found this series, and enjoy it a lot. Does anyone know if theses Cards are anywhere available at Europe?
Thanks! I don’t know about the cards availability in Europe. But, the best place to ask is the 4AD Facebook group. The designer of the game and the cards are both active there. The designer is originally from Italy. I assume he will know for sure.
Why wouldn’t you shuffle once before starting play and recording?
I don’t know. I never thought of that. I guess, to answer your question, I really like shuffling cards.
DId you print the cards out on high-quality card stock, or did they come as is?
I bought them from Drive Thru cards. They print them and ship them out. They are high quality and look amazing.
@@magehammersgametable They do look great, but just went to buy some and will wait till the new year due to the shipping costs etc.
The Road? It’s not The Sound and the Fury.
Ha! Nope it’s the Road!
