    Just to be SUPER CLEAR: If you're making minimum wage, double it with a NOW job. If you're making $40-60k, double it with a THEN job. The goal is to make $100k plus so you can invest. You just go through the levels (jobs example 1-7 are the NOW/no experience/no license jobs, 8-13 are the THEN/later/with license jobs).

      @@american5564 bachelor's is so stupid. I have an associates and years of independent study and they treat me like i dropped out of high school. And I know more about subjects I'm interested in than people with decades of school and multiple degrees. A degree means you have so many hours of credited study. If you binge study you can cover what someone's degree means in less than a month. And if you do that for years it's basically like you have a doctorate in a subject. Recently I was told by my peers I'm a fool and I embarass myself when they don't even understand 1st grade concepts and the things I'm talking about are advanced level and the whole industry agrees with me because that's where I got the information from. All of them have degrees so I guess they weren't paying attention or they forgot or just paid the money for it and now get to pretend they're smart when they don't know tihs.... Look at all the nurses dancing in the hospitals. They all look like morons.

    Here is my journey that typically works out pretty well for people in my field. I joined the military working in the military aviation. For my 4 year enlistment I was getting paid $1600 per month, free food, free housing, and free medical se essentially I could save 100% of my paycheck. While in, I learned a lot of technical skills, earned a lot of certifications including A&P, I learned how to work hard and be motivated to improve myself. Then when you get out there is a 90% probability of getting disability from the VA, getting $800-$3000 per month for life to lean on for car payments, house payments, etc in addition to free healthcare for life. After getting out you have several options, first is going the college route and getting a degree in the field of choice or getting a technical degree. Second is going into some type of defense contracting with the DoD, Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, or any other of the major defense contractors where pay usually starts at around $50k per year and can cap out over $150K per year. If you decide to do overseas contracting you can make well over $300K per year in my job, Aviation Ordnance. This is the route I chose and after less than a year into my contracting job Im making well over $30 per hour, free healthcare, and a disability payment for life, plus numerous benefits from the VA. Because we are directly controlled by the DoD we have a lot of job security during the COVID outbreak and especially during war time. Overall its a pretty solid job doing something I feel actually makes a difference in the world and is something I love, but I want to hear your thoughts on this.

      Rico H. Trades are shamed. For no reason I can understand. A traveling mig welder can make 99 bucks an hour. Company in PA called EQT. They paid them 99 an Hour (last I talked to some of the guys there was 4 years for so maybe more now )to Travel and weld for 15 minutes to an hour most times and then to drive home. That’s a lot more than the teacher makes that told you without college you will be a failure.

    • @rachelthis4295
      @rachelthis4295 4 роки тому

      Rico H. It really pisses me off that your generation wasn’t taught anything at all. Your grandparents are the products of a hard life so they spoiled their kids then they turned around and coddled their kids as well sheltered them from everything violent and scary in the world and then you are suddenly in the world that isn’t sunshine and rainbows. Not all of course some millennials have a hard life too. They have sense for the most part. Soft times breed soft people. They were too busy protecting the “greatest resource” that they forgot to teach them about taxes .. or how to make a monthly budget. I’m gen x and I’m here cause I wasn’t taught sh&t either. Lol. Good luck.

    Has Matterport started allowing me to download the space and stopped putting their own brand all over it? These two things can be a huge put-off in the 360 photography space. People like to HAVE the thing they purchased, rather than being 1 of maybe 25 spaces that could be deleted at any time to make space. I recently got 3DVista for these reasons. its up-front cost is expensive but it lets me download and keep the spaces forever if the data storage lasts that long. And it lets me brand it the way I want, or eventually the way a client may want.

    If your looking at a property managment on an industrial scale then look into uploading your autocad proofs into a sketch up model and integrate the insta 360 into an image and drawing combo. This will allow for a full integration of services which facilitates analysing of assets and building ratings along with a real visual representation of the space . Any calls related to an area can be sent on to the relevant contractor on a set Operstional Services Managment Portal with the service shut offs identified , Electrical/HVAC drawings available , service records ,BMS real time asset status and visual space pictures for ease of access and efficiency . This system can be utilised to support client KPI's ; giving a visual representation of PPMs and asset lifecycle managment of a building when performing a status update .

I make almost the max that I can at a job that I enjoy, I'm frugal, and I invest what I can but my total income is still well below the livable wage for my county which makes things difficult. I have a college degree, so it's frustrating to be stuck earning so little. I've considered trying to do something like financial planning part time, but most decent jobs are full time.

One thing that I would add to your list of suggestions is something one of my girlfriends does is teach English online- she gets paid $10 for a 30min class that’s $20 an hour... not sure if she can work 8hrs a day or what the schedule is but that’s a good part time and she does it while traveling the world!
