Mike, wanted to tell you that, I myself love the 74 to 79 Ford 4x4 especially the 77 Highboys. We bought my first in 88 and it was such a cool truck. Between my father, my older brother and myself, we had 4 total Ford 4x4 trucks combined then. I had a 75 F100 (my first vehicle which I still own) and a 77 F150. My brother had a 77 F250 and my dad bought the 77 Highboy for $2500 in mint condition. Wish those days still existed!!

I was so excited to see the vehicle Levi and family might get, The Maverick by Ford! As a former Ford Ranger owner, the idea of the Maverick is very tempting to me. For Levi to consider, Just a suggestion. Ive owned 5 f150s in my lifetime. I am retired now but still need a pickup for my furniture making. Last December I bought a 2020 Ranger xlt. I absolutely love this truck. The 2.3 liter turbo is all the power and speed I'll ever need. My only regret is i wish i had bought a lariat and when the newly designed ranger comes out in 23 i will buy a lariat. Good luck with your choice

I’ve heard spray in Bedliner and rear sliding glass. For what it’s worth I ordered my Mav xlt fx4 in November and the build date is 2/21/22. So not too bad.
Hello Mike & Melissa, I know it has been mentioned before but i keep noticing all the scraps of tree bark mounting up underneath the end of the Conveyor belt, i think it would be a good idea to hang a bag of some sort underneath to collect the scraps, It would also save having to move the conveyor when you clean up. I just put one of the Lund Bed Extenders on my Ram 2500 and love it. It is great for getting that extra room but my favorite feature is that when it is rotated inside he bed with the tailgate closed it will keep any smaller items o the rear and from sliding around in the bed. You can also bungee cord gas cans to it.

Mike, Here are a few of the simplest ideas for an alternate backpack day: 1-A wheeled walker (it moves easily and can handle any books without effort) 2-The sporty grocery cart (There are already baskets and it is made for moving) 3-A handtruck (just attach a couple of window flower boxes and you are dressed and ready to give the hallways a splash of color)

Friend of mine is getting a Maverick hybrid in a week or two, being shipped in from Kansas. I saw the smoke from the burn pit. You put heating coils in the slab of the building. Shame you can't figure out a way to harvest some heat out of the burn pit. Turn those SOB's into BTU's.

OK, Mike, this may not have been an Ad for the new Ford Maverick but by bingo, it is exactly what I need to downsize from my full-size Dodge Ram. I have an appt. Weds. at the Ford dealership to put in my order. I love the looks of this compact little well-appointed workhorse. So thanks for introducing it to me! I may have to wait as long as you did for your Bronco (the dealer said 7-8 months) but I know it will be worth the wait. Then like Melissa said I'll drive it like I stole it!
I bought a brand new Dodge charger in 1972. It was on the show room floor. Total price $2900. My car payment was $34 per month... but also gas was .25 per gallon. I recently saw an identical one for sale $45,000.
Hi All...yes, it's absolutely ridiculous how expensive vehicles are now. I was talking to someone the other day that bought a new pickup a year ago, and they said their car payment was over $700 a MONTH. You're closing in on a grand a month - just for a car! And then with new trucks you're afraid to use them as a truck - I remember my dad's '68 Chevy pickup - got used for everything under the sun, and you weren't afraid to actually WORK with it. It wasn't trying to be a limo like new trucks are where guys are afraid to put something in the bed.
The 2 options that drove me to getting a Lariat over an XLT were 1. Automatic HVAC. That’s where you set a temp like your house rather than constantly messing with the fan and temp controls. 2. They add an AWD mode to the 2/4 wheel drive knob. I 4 wheel high the transfer case locks the front and rear to 50/50 so you can’t use it on pavement. With AWD it doesn’t lock it. It is electronic like the rear axle so you can use it on pavement. When it’s wet and you need to pull out on a highway you can flip it to AWD and even with the wheel turned you can floor it without spinning the rear tires. I love it. Well worth spending the money on.
@@dustin146 that’s not correct. Go look at their website. XL/XLT - Manual Air Conditioning, Single Zone Lariat - Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC) Manual means you have a manual fan control Electronic means you set the temp and it adjusts itself.
@@jeffherndon I have an XLT and it has auto temp control though. Just single zone, but you set a temp and the truck will maintain it. Also the AWD functions the same across trim levels. You can add the FX4 package which gives different drive modes, but there's not locking diff option like the bronco sport has. Still, the AWD works great even without the extra software.

They'll be super popular. Being a Ford will draw more of the "traditional" buyers that wouldn't have bought a Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru (or any of the other little crew cab open bed crossover vehicles)
biggest bummer for me is 4x4 and hybrid is not compatible, it's one or the other. That was a deal breaker for me. I have a long commute, but you can't go through a Canadian winter with a 2 wheel drive truck, not happening. I will stick with my gas guzzling 2011 4x4 F150, unfortunately.
Hey Mike I bought a 1976 Ford F150 in. Lusk, wyoming new in July of 1976 for 5200.00. It was just a plane jane truck but was perfect for ranch life in Edgemont South Dakota

Ordered a 2022 F-350 on September 3rd and it is scheduled for delivery to the dealer between December 22 and 28th. It's build date was pushed back 3 times though. And just one point to add in the meantime I saw a used 2019 F-350 with 38,000 miles on it at dealership. I was able to pull up the window sticker from when it was new and it stickered at $69,000 and the dealership is now asking $71,000 its crazy what the prices of trucks are right now.
Vehicles are dang high. I had old used trucks forever, my first new truck was a 1978 ford f150, 300 engine, 4 speed, 4 wheel drive, didn't even have hub caps, I gave $6,000 for it new off the lot. Now that won't even make a down payment on one. Merry Christmas to all.

I think they'll sell a lot of Mavericks. They're affordable in the base trims, great fuel mileage, and a practical daily driver, errand runner.
I ordered a xlt hybrid for a small handyman service, problem is I waited to the last day to order and will receive around July 2022

Vehicles are dang high. I had old used trucks forever, my first new truck was a 1978 ford f150, 300 engine, 4 speed, 4 wheel drive, didn't even have hub caps, I gave $6,000 for it new off the lot. Now that won't even make a down payment on one. Merry Christmas to all.

I have a 2014 Tacoma which I wouldn't trade for anything newer then 2020 anything. It is a good lookin truck.
