Exactly what I was thinking. The surf community needs to stand up against behaviour like this. Educate + spread good vibes = everyone has a better time in the water.
Was gonna say that those are pretty much surf ranch waves, but natural. Give a dude a board and a couple of months on consistent waves like that and he’ll have a huge head start over everyone else learning to surf….
It’s a free wave … manners look pretty decent to me. I’d be happy to have someone tail the bend of my wave like that. I’ve had a good run and can’t even see him.
Yes you can teach style. #1 rule no arm flapping. #2 rule try to look cool and relaxed. It worked on the surfers in 1964 St Ives when I first got there. Oh yea #3 no Australian baggies.
Styles can be emulated through observation and study. Same way dancers and figure skaters develope style. Long periods of watching others and then envisioning mentally. It becomes ingrained.
Where is this Beach is it in Queensland ? It would be great if RAW Surfing could put on the place they are filming where the places are? Great Vid love it.

Style is very teachable. Ask anyone that's ever had it pointed out to them, they surf poo style. If they've got a clue, that shit gets sorted out.
He's chill. Watch him stand still casually like he's posing for a painting. Even his pumping is super smooth and aligned with the wave flow in beautifully perfect angles. It's a far cry from the board flick-flacking arm-waving body-static ugly no-flow so many people have today.
