The scene of Barnabas & Maggie in the mausoleum, is a redo of the scene in Episode 248, with slight changes in both dialog and images due to the 1795 storyline already established at this point in the series, and of course, the switch from recording on black and white videotape to color videotape. The biggest change shows Barnabas biting Maggie, which did not originally happen, at least onscreen. I'm glad that the showrunners did not ignore the initial Barnabas storyline and brought it back to the forefront here.
And no storm that night. It was a beautifull night . Maggie shined unther the moon light. Barnabas looked at the moon and looked Maggie. Her haunting beauty touched Barnabas heart. Then he saw something that belonged to Sam Evans and Maggie had in his hands. And he went mad again and put her in the coffin. I remember that he never bited Maggie when he hold her in the old house. No biting at all.
This was great - probably a week’s worth of episodes here that were originally fluffed with the standard Barnabas/Julia back-and-forth dialogue “Julia you must. Barnabas but I can’t. Yes but you must…”
You omitted the last scene of 588, with Maggie screaming as Barnabas stuffs her into the coffin. That was one of the darkest scenes from the entire show!
The intrigue! The storylines! Dark Shadows totally rocks!
And will allways rock !!
Thank goodness that these episodes were saved, so we can enjoy them now. Most soaps were not.
The crazy stuff all the characters do to each other! 😮😂
Well thats what made the show a success.

It's really hard to sympathize with Willie when he's grabbing Maggie & threatening her.
Enjoy the show 🎉
