I'm 66 years old walk with a cane and I would still try to dumpster dive for a Wilton Vice. I have one that was bolted to some scrap metal that was given to me 40 years ago. It just does not get better than the quality that was made years ago. I gasp for breath seeing what a good Wilton Vice will sell for at the swap meets now days. I really enjoy seeing outside the shop as well Steve/Adam. I live on 8.25 acres myself and love drinking my coffee on the porch swing watching the Scissor Tails catch grasshoppers. The older I get the more time i take for nature. Mother Nature gave us everything we have we should honor Her by taking time to notice. Thanks Guys.
It seems that all these metal working UA-camrs are all really good friendly and calm people. I dig watching your video's. Really great craftsmanship and I enjoy your vibe. Hope UA-cam is good/fun for you.
Wow, I've been following Steve's shop rebuild videos. It's cool to see what it was like before construction. I love when my favourite channels cross over like this!
Great video Adam, Steve is a true gentleman, and very humble. As anybody can tell he is very smart at what he does, and enjoys learning his craft. I can watch shaper channels all day long!
I have been watching steve for a few years he was the first guy I ever saw with a scraper I didn't even know what a scraper was till I started watching steves channel. Thanks for sharing Adam Steve seems like like a good down to earth guy for sure just like you. Have a great day.
I am glad to see two good partners talking about machinery and tools and some other topics related, and I hope this is not the last time you two shall see on videos, congratulations both, and have a great time in the smokey mountains celebrating with 60 degs. apple brandy or corn liquor, because you have a clear water stream, thick vegetation, and very long traditions.
I've been watching you (Adam) and Steve for a while and have enjoyed both of you. Many more, too like the fellow down the road you are visiting next, Brian. Well, this is your resident bricklayer signing off and looking forward to a bunch more machine trades videos from you guys, Greg.
I have been watching Steve's videos and he does lots of interesting work. This is the first time that I have seen the outside of the shop. Nice area. Oh, the country life!!
Hey Adam - Beautiful country up there isn't it. Great trip you are on. Thanks for sharing. I have a 16" Cincinatti shaper. Much older that Steve's. You mentioned a feeds and speeds chart that is on your machine. Can you post a legible pic of it please. Many thanks. Uncle Bob
Watching yours and Steve's channel drove me to find the shaper I now have. Its a Cincy 24" . About 10 years newer , it has the electric clutch for the ram. And I to have moved it a few inche across the floor from being in the wrong gear.
Thanks Adam, Steve's vidios are on the top quality list. Wish I could make a visit, I have many shaper tricks, also many shaper attachments even a mill / drill attachment.
Very cool and comfortable shop tour. Thanks to you and Adam for taking us along. You have inspired me to make a shop tour video of my shop. Great stuff Steve....
Hey Adam and Steve)) as someone who live vicariously through your videos it is great to see you both at the same time)) please keep up the great videos)))
I am fully enjoying all of these shop tours your giving. Some of the guys I've heard of some I haven't but every one of you guys seem to be the kind of guys that I would really get along with. I am no machinist (yet) but hear this if I ever move to an area that any of you guys live in, you will have a guy willing to push a broom and make things sparkle just for the opportunity to learn a percentage of a percentage of the knowledge you guys have. While I may be reaching the edge of being an old fart (44) I don't think I'll ever be to old to start learning this sort of stuff. Keep up the good work.
Just a growing community of machinists, metal workers, and makers who all share the same passions. We all enjoy meeting new people and making new friends.
I really like Steve. Seems like such a pleasant, genuine guy. Not to mention he has it all, beautiful property, cool tools AND a lovely other half. Gotta say I kinda envy his happiness sometimes
Steve Summers, You've come a long way in a short period of time, and even though I too am new to machining, (about 10 years now) you have some serious skills. Even Adam said you were one up on him regarding your tool cutter grinder! Very impressive Steve. Even your videos put mine to shame.. Hopefully one day I get the privilege to meet you! Razor!
Love this tour as well! It was good to see the front area of Steve's shop, since he never really shows it. You two and Brian Bloc are my 3 favorite UA-cam channels. All 3 of ya seem to be the most down to earth guys around, even though y'all are UA-cam famous. ;-) Thanks for the tour and I sure hope that there's gona be a Bailey Bloc's shop tour video as well.
Thanks for the tour and the referral to Steve's channel! Great video of the Cinnatti shaper. More closeups of the controls! LOVE the design of that gear.
Love shop tours,,well done with Steve.I was hoping he would have a Still out back for making moon Shine,,hehe! From the front, the shop looked tinny, but wow, once inside it was quite large. Thx Adam,,nice tour,,Bear
Another great shop tour Adam, what a nice relaxing spot he has for his shop - such peace and quiet, just a man his machines and the sounds of nature - and some great machines-- another zen moment-lol
Its doesn't seem that long ago that when shapers were mentioned they were considered "old hat" and quickly passed over. But now they are all the talk of the moment. Me, having used a shaper in my working days I'm glad to see them back in vogue.
That looks like a nice place to work. It's well laid out, well lit and clean. He can do a lot of fab work and machine work, allows him a wide variety of projects.
Adam, thanks for this Video, turning me onto a fellow Brother from the Hills of Ky. I was Born, and Raised in the Hills of Eastern Ky. So, I am headed over to Subscribe to his channel right now. What a Beautiful Cincinnati.
Love your stuff man, so when you doing a tour of This Old Tony's place - just watched you cameo in his filing video, think you need to go pay him a visit.
This fella a machine shop I used to work at had adjusted the punch press just a little too tight and it was jumping every stroke. I had to help him pull it back in place and we couldn't budge so we started stamping parts and every time it jumped we could move it about an inch with both of us pulling on it.
Hi Adam, Steve has an awesome beard there👍. Love his videos, I subscribed long ago and in fact i was one of the guys who on your channel mentioned Steve as a guy with a scraper. Kindest regards. Joe.
I didn't realize Steve had only been building out his shop for about 5 years. Gives me hope that I can work my shop and video skills up to something close to his level in a reasonable time.
TheArsonsmith4242 You can build a decent shop with very little money and in a short amount of time if you keep your eyes open. Editing a good video is tough. I made my 1st video just over a year ago. Still I'm a beginner as far as editing goes. Takes more time than the machining most the time.
I have some old clips from almost 10 years ago on my channel, but have only started trying to do videos a few months ago. The biggest issue I've found is recording way to much then having to figure out where the good clips are. I end up with much longer videos than I really wanted. Slowly working on the editing and I know I need a lot more practice on the monologues. One of the things I've never been good at and hopefully I can use this medium as a way to expand my abilities.
TheArsonsmith4242 I always have hours of film every week. Figuring what to cut and what to keep is always a huge struggle. I like details, it's where the learning is. But most people seem to like a overview rather than a complete demonstration.
I've considered doing a nearly uncut hours long video along side each edited video. Not sure how that would go over or if they would ever get watched. Not that I have many viewers to begin with. I also do most of my videos 75% for myself. I really like going back and reviewing projects I did years ago and forgotten about. I've found old forum build posts I had done 15 years ago and completely forgot about. It's great going through memory lane and reviewing things I've built. UA-cam seems to be a great forum for doing this which is the main reason I started my channel. Of course I hope others can enjoy it as well.
If I could I would watch all you guys toobes. But Hours= work and Work= $$$. Thank you guys Adam, Steve,ToTony and Unclebumblefuct .. Appreciate your time and efforts.
Hey Steve where are you at in KY? All my people aunts and uncles are in Barbourville KY. All my uncles are welders by trade. Their last name is Trent. We have a big reunion there every August and I try to go there when I can. Those hills up there are beautiful!! My mom wanted to move back home so bad before she passed away. Kentucky was home to her. Enjoyed the shop tour Steve thanks for sharing it with us. Adam another awesome vid as always thanks buddy!!

Thanks Charles, Brian's shop will be up next.

Subbed Steve is a salt of the earth kinda of fella 🍺 can’t wait to dig into his archive 😁👍
The indexing angle plate and dial on the shaper is truly remarkable. He's got alot of gems in his archive for sure.
Nice shop.... starting with non-mentioned Dewalt surface planer (I have same model.)
