The big question is how did you keep your hair so pretty on trail.😄Whether it was braided, in a bun or untamed you never had a bad hair day. And, your buffs and bands were the cutest. Ziggy must have been your secret hair stylist or you have some mighty fine genes.
My how I miss seeing your daily AT updates! You have become what I think of as “The AT’s Sweet Apple-Pie”! Excellent video! But then, which one isn’t good, for you’ve never yet made any “bad” videos!! I know you put a lot into making your videos. Good content, and well planned out. We your fans love get’n to see our Molly Rose-or should I say the “AT-Rose”! Keep these videos coming, please! May you be blessed & encouraged in 2025!
Great video Mojo! Glad to see you on here again. That trail did change your life! You can see it in your eyes. I have a feeling that your next thru hike is closer than you think. 😎 Hike safe, Hike strong, Have fun! geek
Hi Molly, I've been following your journey last year. Your videos were oftentimes the one thing I was looking forward to at the end of the day. Sending greetings and best wishes from Germany ❤.
I truly loved being along on your journey. Most of us will never be able to do the AT and you helped us experience it, with a positive attitude that was so refreshing. Thank you Molly! ❤
I will allways enjoy your videos. And you a fan for life. 🤩 o hope to see a full on documentary of your hike soon. You should try the tahoe rim trail takes about 12 or so. If you can get the time off
Thank you! You will hopefully see a documentary in the next few months 🤞 The Tahoe Rim Trail is definitely on my list too (my list is getting so long 😬)!
You certainly had an impact on your audience. Your trip allowed you to grow as a person, and your indomitable spirit accompanied you the entire way. You have spread your positive spirit on each trail you’ve hiked. Way to go!
Wait!! Ziggy?!?! Did I miss you mentioning his completion in a precious post?! I also have always loved how you do the map of your hike that day in your videos.
The trail you were on today as you answered questions was gorgeous! The pacific northwest is a beautiful place. I would like to hike there myself. You've made all of this so very entertaining and informative.😊
Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing that beautiful PNW hike through the various ecosystems (and weather) that changed with the elevation. What a great Q&A, but I am not surprised since you have set and maintained a high standard for your UA-cam videos. I look forward to more uplifting Molly/MoJo adventures.
"Nice climb"! I used that saying when out road cycling with friends. We live in South Western Pa. surrounded by river valleys and various ascents. So we are always having fun on the "nice climbs"!
Great Q&A, and you got a view on top of Kings! I agree with you in that you wouldn't have changed a thing about your hike. You had fun, kicked some trail butt, made life-long memories and friends, and summited Mama K. 👏 I know it was a blast watching you every day. 😊 Many blessings to you and yours in 2025 Mojo. ✌️
Hi Molly, This is my first time commenting but I've watched every one of your videos and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. The AT is high on my life list goals and you have definitely been a source of positivity and encouragement that I dearly appreciate. Keep hiking, keep exploring, stay curious and keep that amazing positive attitude. You're the BEST! Take care and God bless 🙏🏼
I registered my start date yesterday. It will be my first thru-hike. I had read a review of a backpack that said the buckles had been damaged in transit because the whole bag was checked. I was thinking I should box up my whole bag, but thank for for the idea to just box the items I wouldn't be able to carry on and to keep the precious cargo with me. I don't normally comment on things, but I truly enjoy your wholesome content. You're a sweet soul, Molly, and I love how grateful you are for your experiences. Thanks for taking us along with you! :)
Good morning Molly! It's good to see you again. The area you're hiking right now is absolutely beautiful. The mountain view is amazing. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year! 🎉🙏🥾💖
As grateful as you are for hiking the trail all of us whom were fortunate to follow your journey are grateful slso.good luck in thr new year.all the best from ssugus mass.
Great video with good information. I appreciate you stressing the importance of handling your food properly. Unfortunately, some people don't take care of their food or trash properly & yes, the bears will ne out & start coming to the sites. I am also glad you mentioned being mentally ready and referring people to read up on the challenges. Really enjoyed following your journey. Even on hard days you were a ray of sunshine. Can't wait to see where you go in 2025.
Molly, thank you for sharing your experience of thru-hiking the AT. My wife, sister, and I are attempting a NOBO beginning in mid February. We enjoyed following you on your hike. You’re post-trail videos have been very helpful. We can’t wait to follow your next adventure. Happy New Year!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos on the AT every day Molly Rose. Your positive attitude and physical ability was inspiring to so many. Thank you for sharing your epic journey and for continuing to share and inform us. Happy New Year to you and your family ❤
WOW! Another great cheerful upbeat video from Molly! Happy New Year! Your Q and A was very helpful and enlightening! Very nice hike and awesome views on Kings !😅
Well, I've hiked Kings many a time as well as the AT in 2017. I highly recommend doing the Elk/Kings Loop for a serious training hike. Most people go up Elk and down Kings. Elk will remind you of many the sections of "trail" on the AT. The two trailheads are connected by the Wilson River Trail, although I sometimes hitchhike or bike between the two.
I’m really impressed with presence in the moment. Winging a Q & A video while hiking (and not falling) is sound. One more question for your next Q & A, did you shoes have a rock plate in them and would they help in the rocks of Penn and NH??
Thank you 😊 The lone peak Altras I wore didn’t have a rock plate. I have other pairs of Altras that do have a rock plate and thought about getting them sent to me. I ultimately decided not to because I didn’t think they would really help. But, since I didn’t try, I don’t know for sure 🤷♀️
Great video! You have been an inspiration to many people this year, which is a gift you were truly meant to share, I think. So, as you were blessed, you were also a blessing to others, just in showing how much one can gain by grit, determination and loving what you are doing. BTW/I am a believer in hiking poles, especially as I get older. For some of us more "seasoned" hikers, balance becomes a critical thing, and the poles do help keep you vertical on the trail.
Molly, another great video. How did the months spent hiking on the AT affect you, your husband? I hear of people having difficulty adjusting to life back home after a thru hike, was it hard adjusting to going back to work, being around your non hiking friends? Looks like you adjusted pretty good, any post thru hike depression?
I think you should hike the AT. Would love to see you back out there. And because of the storm the trail is not the same. They need the hikers back to help support them. Another nice vid, thanks. Happy New Year:-)
Thanks so much for all the info you have been sharing and continue to share! Did you keep up with regular, even brief, journaling on the AT? I'm wondering if I will be so tired that I can't be bothered on my thru this year - I guess I can take a tiny notebook and then buy another one if I fill up the first 🤣
Another awesome hike! You are genuinely positive, no drama, no complaining. Can’t wait for your next thru hike! Any recommendations of hikes around Eugene? I’ll be there in April for the marathon.
So many things come to mind as you take us through the various questions and answers. I may have included these in previous comments - please forgive me if I have. "Stand still. The trees and bushes beside you are not lost. Wherever you are is called 'Here.' And you must treat it as a powerful stranger, must ask to know it and be known. The forest breathes. Listen. It answers. I have made this place around you. If you leave it you may come back again, saying, 'Here.' No two trees are the same to raven. No two branches are the same to wren. If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you, YOU are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows where you are. You must let it find you."(David Wagoner). And - when you say certain things, your eyes give you away - you possess some of the qualities of an 'Old Soul,' having that 'Third Eye.' And you mention gratitude - Marcus Cicero had this to say: "Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others." Be well, stay safe. 🥾
You just keep making these really great videos. If you want to continue this in the long run, you might want to check out this Patreon related stuff, especially to support your possible future hikes.
Really enjoyed following along on your AT journey. What gloves did you use and are you wearing a buff or a band around your head. Trying to find warm mittens and something for my head/ears. Thank you!
I brought Dakine liner gloves with me. A lot of hikers really like the zpacks possum gloves. I have small hands so it’s hard to find gloves that actually fit me. My headband is a Smartwool merino 250 headband!
Thanks, for the very entertaining video, miss Molly. You said you see another thru-hike, in your future. Do you see that being an AT thru hike? All the best!🙂
Where did you fly into Georgia? Where did you have your box sent to? Did you spend the night in a hotel before starting? Did you have to uber from the airport?
I flew into Atlanta! My mom and step dad came with me. They rented a car and we stayed at an Airbnb really close to Amicalola Falls State Park for two nights before I started. I talk a little bit more about this in my “Day 0” video! Jay Wanders Out UA-cam channel has a good video about getting to Amicalola from the Atlanta airport if you’re flying in alone!
The big question is how did you keep your hair so pretty on trail.😄Whether it was braided, in a bun or untamed you never had a bad hair day. And, your buffs and bands were the cutest. Ziggy must have been your secret hair stylist or you have some mighty fine genes.

These are the kind words I was talking about 🥹 Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoy my content 😊
@ the words are from the heart!
May our Lord Jesus instruct the Angels to protect you as you proceed upon each pathway you trod!
Great video Mojo! Glad to see you on here again. That trail did change your life! You can see it in your eyes. I have a feeling that your next thru hike is closer than you think. 😎

I'm so glad you enjoyed the scenery! The Pacific Northwest is truly special 😊
Looks like you got some really beautiful views ! What a beautiful place to take a quick hike.
It sure is a beautiful place to hike! I wasn’t expecting to get such a nice view! So blessed 😃

I love how different forests in America are so different. You can tell that you aren't on the AT in this video. Great hike, good talk.

Great job, Mojo. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much! Happy New Year to you too! 😊
Another awesome hike! You are genuinely positive, no drama, no complaining. Can’t wait for your next thru hike! Any recommendations of hikes around Eugene? I’ll be there in April for the marathon.
Thank you 😊 Tamolich Blue Pool (via the Mackenzie River Trail) is gorgeous! It’s a little over an hour outside of Eugene but worth it!

I always enjoy your literary inclusions. I agree with the old soul remark. When I stumbled on her channel, I knew she was a kindred spirit. 😊
@@RickINFJ Indeed - so did I, and they are rare.

Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, for the very entertaining video, miss Molly.

Yes! It’s on my list 😃 My sister hiked it and said it’s incredible!

Thanks for saving my ass Molly!

Any time Tink!! Hope you’re doing well! Say hi to Goose for me!
Great way to answer questions. 🏔️
What kind of watch did you wear?
I have the Garmin Fenix 6s solar and love it! I believe Garmin released the Fenix 8 this year which I have my eyes on 😍
