Hello, this has been a " go-to" of mine for a VERY long time! The way you pronounced " New Orleans.. ( sigh ) it kills me.. 🤣 you " northerners " it's NOT " LEANS " it is Orlan's .. but the way you mixed this one you did it right! ( yes I am a southerner ) . A job well done sir.
Hey thanks! Apologies for the PNW accent, I'll make sure to get it right in the next vid with a new "Orlans" cocktail. I really hope to visit there someday. This drink has also been a go-to of mine in two way. It's the first drink I order at a nice cocktail bar and is my litmus test. It's also the drink I would make for someone if they didn't know what they wanted but were in the mood for something whiskey based.
@drinkswithdave .. I used to live in the PNW! from 1989 -2014..long story that I don't want to revisit. I also have family ( sisters and brother) who live in Sw Washington and Nw Oregon. And recently went on a vacation up that way in mid January. While up that way I was fortunate enough to visit Westward Whiskey in SE Portland Oregon and get some really EXCELLENT spirits which make a BEAUTIFUL old fashioned. On the other side of Stumptown is Freeland Spirits in Nw Portland.. and they have an EXCELLENT Rye, Bourbon and Gin! Mind you, im not a " professional " Bartender or mixologist ", i drive a OTR truck but do mixology as a hobby and recreation. Thank you for this video!
All these beautiful drinks have reminded me you're also one heck of a chef. Would you ever consider showing off some of your appetizers that might pair well with your cocktails?
Oh you taunt me old buddy. Im just trying to stay upright and get more vids done, and now your asking for snacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!? 😂😂😂 How bout a request for a drink and I'll see what ii can do.
