I was trying to impersonate David Attenborough, based off the 'Life of Birds' series. And yes, he did Planet Earth as well though I haven't seen it. I think I did a better job of mimicking him on the original 'Secrets of Morrowind' video :3
The weird bit is that while a cat walking around on two legs is socially acceptable to the inhabitants of Tamriel, a wolf doing the same will drive them into a frothing rage.
I Favorited this. Really brilliant idea, dude :) Though I wanted to ask a question about werewolves: If you happened to find one of the elusive nine werewolves and killed one, would it respawn eventually, or would there only be 8 left?
Werewolfs were the best in Morrowind I loved going through the gauntlet of like 50 werewolfs falx carius tharsten heart fang and kaarstag before fighting Hircine.
I'm considering a third one, but I don't have a full script yet and I'm a little out of practice, having concentrated more on Oblivion. I'll get around to it someday, though. One of the key ingredients is to make it fairly unique, I'm not sure a travel guide would have quite the same punch.
Thanks. I haven't played Morrowind for a while now, and to be honest I'm not sure I have material for another 'Secrets' video. That said, I've been meaning to do a documentary about rescuing Qa'Dar - I might just be able to stretch it to cover Demon Cheetahs. I'll have to consider it, though Oblivion also needs more love in the video department.
It is great! Very good vid, dude, keep it up. Almost every gamer likes Morrowind so it will be very interesting for everybody to watch your videos. Good Luck!
Morrowind the the game. Bloodmoon is an expansion for it, released a year or so later. Werewolves are only present when that expansion is installed. The 'Game of the Year' edition contains Morrowind along with the Tribunal and Bloodmoon add-ons.
If I come up with enough ideas to make another one of these, I will certainly do so. Lately, most of the things I've done which are worth filming wouldn't fit into this format, though.
@BioEngineeredAlien - Not sure, but the cave entrance only appears after a certain plot event IIRC... before that it's snow-covered, though it's possible to remove the snow via the console. I filmed this using a savegame from after I'd completed it, so yes, assuming they aren't killed first, they should be around thereafter. I'm not quite sure if they are always there or spawned by a plot event though.
You need the Bloodmoon expansion, which ships in the GOTY edition, and can probably be purchased from Bethesda's website if you don't have it. Once Bloodmoon is up and running, it will happen as part of the questline. You will also get the Ring of Hircine which allows you to transform on-demand. Note that the new engine in Bloodmoon removes the 'floaty people' bug shown in the original 'Secrets of Morrowind' video.
You only get the ring at the end. However, about a third (or half?) the way through, you get infected with lycanthropy, From here you can either cure yourself and carry on, or there is an alternative, darker storyline if you remain as a werewolf (you will need to eat people regularly in this mode).
@TanJac16 yes, you can get bloodmoon for the original xboxversion, its called game of the year addition and you get bloodmoon and also mournhold expansions
Off the top of my head, Ultima 6, 7 and even 8 had them and did quite a good job of writing them, too (well, maybe not U8). Also Deus Ex. That said, it does seem to be somewhat rare. As for why, what I think cosmo is trying to say is that it improves the suspension of disbelief, and frankly, I agree. Though he/she does seem to have gone a little OTT in their last reply.
I'm out of practice with Morrowind and to be honest, ideas are starting to get a little hard to come by. There is one idea I have, but I'm not sure it really fits into the wildlife program format...
At a guess, either because they didn't like the idea of people running around and killing them, or because they found making a convincing simulation of children was harder than for adults. Curiously, in Ultima 9, children were one of the few character classes you could arbitrarily murder with no penalty whatsoever. I have no idea why. Unhappily, the writing of their dialogue was sufficiently bad that disposing of them was an almost irresistible temptation.
Yeah, I know what you mean after awhile it gets harder to variate enough on a theme for it to still be funny. Good luck on making more videos whether or not they fit into the same format, You definitely seem to know how to make great videos.
Man (yes you, creator of this awesome vid) i have had the two secrets of morrowind videos as my favorites ever since i first saw them a year or two ago! And they still kick ass! Fucking epic man.... I like your twisted, "dry" humor =D Maybe you feel like doing more like it?
Hey are you making anymore videos similar to this not nesessarily the same exact thing but the documentary stlyed video based on The Elder Scrolls series Gameplay? Perhaps look into some other secrets venturing more into a spoof morrowind nhistory video? Really enjoyed these videos. Don't get rid of them like some people have like what they did to the Ultimate Morrowind Secret Vid.
Maybe the king of Moro wind decide that killing werewolf is illegal...But he ain't the king of Skyrim...Which at the time solstheim is in Skyrim...So they can still kill werewolf therre...
The I don't think it could be condensed into 10 minutes without editing it to crap. We're probably talking 3-6 hours of video here. If you just want to see what being a wolf is like, go to the cheat console (press '~') and type the following: placeatpc "BM_ring_hircine" 1 1 1 ...that should create the ring at your feet. Don't wear it while people are around, they don't like it. I must confess I did this myself at first. Playing the expansion through is rewarding in itself, though.
Well the game is really old, 2001 or 03 I think? Anyways the story is great, if only Bethseda made a recreated version of this for the 360 with better graphics... Its a shame that the Tamriel Rebuilt project was cut... Tamriel Rebuilt remakes Cyrodiil in the Oblivion game (I think) and Morrowind/Vvardenfell in Morrowind.
I don't know what you're doing, but IMHO just firing up Morrowind, installing Bloodmoon and looking for werewolves instead of playing it the way it was intended kind of defeats the point :P You want my suggestion? Just play the expansion. You'll come into contact with the werewolves soon enough.
UA-cam algorithm is fuked. Even more fuked is the fact that I can play skyrim on the go, but it's still hard as balls to do the same with morrowind and daggerfall
I set up Morrowind on my phone for a controller & it played alright. A crash here and there but surprisingly well just not as easy to get into as on pc, both literally & personally with mobile games in general.
@@purple7filth You have more samurai spirit than I then. I've tried it on my phone but I'm not satisfied. Feels like work rather than play. I'm real hopeful about what the switch will offer though. I heard some og xbox games are running ok on it. so there's hope there.
This video made me want to play Morrowind for the first time. I sincerely thank you my dude.
Ah yes the random recommendation of a 2009 youtuber with good mic quality playing one my favorite games
Just got recommended this 👌
Thanks. I don't currently have any plans for more 'Secrets of Morrowind' videos, but expect some Oblivion stuff in due course.
Th narrator reminds me of the guy from planet earth 😂 he good

@@tapewolf you sound like him.
I love the way near the beginning he said "Cat-Dude the Just." It's just the way he said it XD
:D documentary style makes this perfect. your voice fits right in.
The weird bit is that while a cat walking around on two legs is socially acceptable to the inhabitants of Tamriel, a wolf doing the same will drive them into a frothing rage.
The background imagery provides interesting implications about how the new king acquired power...
I beg of you, please make this into a series :D
Lmao this is awesome! you should consider making a third.
I Favorited this.
Really brilliant idea, dude :)
Though I wanted to ask a question about werewolves: If you happened to find one of the elusive nine werewolves and killed one, would it respawn eventually, or would there only be 8 left?
It was in one of the burial caves, I think it was in the less snowy parts, closer to the fort. I have no idea which one it was, though.
Werewolfs were the best in Morrowind I loved going through the gauntlet of like 50 werewolfs falx carius tharsten heart fang and kaarstag before fighting Hircine.
I'd have to see it, really. There's at least one cave that you can't get into until a certain point.
I'm considering a third one, but I don't have a full script yet and I'm a little out of practice, having concentrated more on Oblivion.
I'll get around to it someday, though. One of the key ingredients is to make it fairly unique, I'm not sure a travel guide would have quite the same punch.

North-east corner of the island. IIRC it's pretty much downhill from the Skaal village, though it's been a while.
It is great! Very good vid, dude, keep it up. Almost every gamer likes Morrowind so it will be very interesting for everybody to watch your videos. Good Luck!
"... farmers will be compensated for the loss of their children" ahahaha gold
Please make a part 3. it is really, really good
Haha this is just as good as the last one, if not better. No in fact I will say this one is better, as the wit is sharper. Well done.
"the werewolf can reach up to speeds of 180 mph, but this requires a lot of running, a clear, open space, and an advanced drivers license" XD lol!

@musicloveromg its called the Tribunal Gathering expansion pack although it does take place in Mournhold.
Haha, you have the PERFECT voice for this, quite well done--and funny!

"If led into water, they will in fact, stand in it, and run around."
The weirdo in the cave? Yes, I went around trying to find the point at which he switched forms. It was an interesting little project.
Fucking funny as shit.
"If led into water, it will infact stand in it and run around."

Great video. I laughed heartilly. And the way werwolves swim is just priceless. :]
Tombs of Skaalara. I think they only appear there after a certain point. I can't remember now.
I love how he slaughtered everyone to become king LOL
I really liked Morrowind. Then I saw the combat system. Ever since then I reside in the realms of Oblivion.

I wish the Kajiit and Argonian legs were still like those in Morrowind, except no constipation running
Yeah, that sounds kinda fitting. And the way werewolves run on all four looks pretty weird too, actually. :>
great keep them coming. i look forward to future videos

Thanks. To answer your question, yes, I am narrating it.
Actually, that's one of the reasons this is as late as it is. I wasn't convinced it measured up to its predecessor.
"Here's one I made earlier"
Loved it!
Children are endangered in Vvardenfell? I was under the impression that they were in fact extinct.
Awesome impersonation! Love the video

My fav vid of all time
It is an interesting fact that the feral wolf is unable to swim, if led to water, they will in fact stand in it and run around.
You should try making a video of all creatures in morrowind :P (maybe even races like argonians and imperials and etc)
morrowind so good they made a morrowind II
Awesome vid! Tell us all when you find a child lol!
They do only appear at a certain point in the storyline.

Is it true that it is a note in a bottle northeast of dagon fel?
Please answer i really need to know!
heck yeah!! exept there isn't any quests.......but the awesome looking boenmold and indoril armor make up for that!!
Great Job, amazing voice, did you do the voiceover yourself ?
Werewolf praying on children.
Have heared that once more in Skyrim.
Did I miss a piece of lore of found an easteregg?
I'm not sure, he probably means that they found the CAVE instead of the wolves themselves, but he can't get inside of the cave.
i wonder if the werewolf has something to do with the lack of children in morrowind

Part 3?!
Whats the different between Morrowind and Bloodmoon
you could do a video in oblivion about a rare form of animal. or the unicons, spawn some more with the TES CS
Thanks. As for the werewolves, I took pains not to kill them at all so to be honest, I don't know...
are the werewolves always in that cave
plz keep making thsea! ur sooo funny!
this is gold great going
How can i become a werewolf in Morrowind?
man this effein brillant hope you do this in skyrim
ummmm this is a stupid question but can you kill a guard in morrowind
thanx for the laugh !
where is that place
No, it plays through the main game. (You just need a Morrowind Crack)
Maybe the king of Moro wind decide that killing werewolf is illegal...But he ain't the king of Skyrim...Which at the time solstheim is in Skyrim...So they can still kill werewolf therre...
I think you've lost me there. Do you want to clarify what you mean?

are therer werewolf in morrowind for xbox NOT 360
