Jimin is the one doing all the contemporary dance moves. He is classically trained and was top student. He learned popping and locking and is so talented. He was the shadow behind Suga too
I don't remember how much I talked about this song on the guide I sent to you, but they made it based on a quote by Martha Graham: “A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.” It’s a song about their fear of losing their passion for their art. It also relates with the Map of the Soul concept by Carl Jung, that is also the concept of their album series. A part of it is related to our shadows - parts of ourselves that we try to escape from. I just love this whole thing.
Each time I come back to rewatch your reactions to BTS' vids, it always lights me up each time you'd mention 'the guy with the great smile' - our Worldwide Handsome JIN :)
yes! i was just about to comment about that too. I just love Jin so much and every single reactor I have watched always has something nice to say about him and I love it. I notice he has pointed out Jin in all of the videos I have seen so far and it makes me so happy!
This song says, “The dancer dies twice. The first death is when the dancer stops dancing. And this death is much more painful,” the legendary contemporary dancer Martha Graham made its motif. Just as a dancer faces his first death when he quits dancing, it contains the fear of the moment when he will no longer be able to stand on the stage as an artist. "The more I do music, the more I fear that music will no longer give me a lot of emotion or trembling, but the moment I face my inner 'Black Swan' from the depths of my heart, I paradoxically realize that there is only music." [Suga] Ayy, they say my heart is not beating no more listening to music Tryna pull up Time seems to have stopped Oh that would be my first death I been always afraid of [RM] If this makes me cry no more If you can't make my heart tremble more How could I ever die like this But what if that moment’s right now right now
Same, i like the serious bts (? what i mean by serious is when they talk themes that are really really deep and they are serious in terms of the message, dance, MV, the outfits, the concept, the story behind it.. all of it. Even the music, i love a lot the R&b and hip hop BTS. Im not to much into poppy and bright stuff so.
The instrument you're hearing is the gayageum! As mentioned below, it's a traditional Korean instrument. Also...about Mr. Great Smile. Did you notice that when he turned around to face the camera, none of his reflections changed?
I think it's a traditional Korean String instrument. I know they like to include their cultural music and instrumentation when possible. Did you guys actually read the lyrics? it's very meaningful. Also, Jimin, who was the Black Swan, specializes in Contemporary Dance. This song actually sealed the deal on my ARMY status. It's still my favorite BTS song after a year of being ARMY. 💜 They actually perform this even better live. You can check it out on Jimmy Fallon, and on James Cordon.
The intro title tho🤣 we love you too💜.. whoever loves BTS genuinely, Army shows love too💜 BTS are good people, they deserve respect, love and success they’re having now..
I SUGGEST YOU ALL SHOULD WATCH BTS LIVE PERFORMANCE OF " BLACK SWAN " WOW!!!! WHEN THEY GUESTED ON THE JAMES CORDEN SHOW ON - THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN.
Black Swan is really underrated. It is so good! Also the story in the song is great. Yes, BTS is great. I also loved the special art musicvideo. You don't see RM Suga JHope Jin Jungkook V Jimin in it but, a dancecompany. Keep going. 👍💜🍀🤘🇳🇱🌷🤗
aww i hope you watch the dance practice of this or any live performance... this choreo is so good! the mv didn't show it much... although jimin was so wonderful. it showcased his contemporary dancing (close to interpretative dancing). 💜 i love this song, from production but also the lyrics - it's about death of passion and the journey to take it back. 🍻
Y'all should try "Airplane Pt 2" it has a bit of a Latin vibe, or "On, Kinetic Manifesto Come Prima" which is just awesome. "On", also has an original music video as well, that is really cinematic.
True! They have around 300 songs. Also the ones saying their music is getting americanised only because of the 3 English singles while they completely ignore the MOTS7, BE and D2 albums that came out just last year in 2020. And TBH, dynamite and butter, even though pure pop, actually have very high quality production even if it doesn't suit the usual taste of some people, that doesn't mean they aren't well made tracks!
You were looking for the word contemporary dancing, but interpretive dance isn't completely wrong. Some of their movements are meant to tell a story derived from the lyrics.
Please react to "Black Mamba" and "Next level" by Aespa. They are a new girlgroup with a sci fi sort of concept. Their debut was on November 2020 and their latest song "Next level" is one of the biggest hit songs in korea this year.
@@TheAMPTheory I just saw what he said, damn I really liked papa mochi. Also, just a question, do you guys react with the captions on? Just cause I don't understand Korean so it's nice to see the lyrics on the screen too!
During carpool karaoke he made a dumb joke about "Brentwood millionaires wives", it seems misogynistic to me but nobody batted an eye because he was being kind to BTS then, but now we mad because he "attacked" ARMY. It was a stupid joke but it's kind of how he's always been. I'm more worried about Good Mornong America, they were laughing when they showed a clip of BTS' performance at the UN, wtf is that about?
I think some "ARMY" are wound way too tight and they need to get out more and calm the ef down. James Cordon was making a joke and you are using the controversy for brownie points. GROW UP!!
Actually No. the way western media keep on downplaying there relevance as artist and now as a diplomat too Calling the appearance as “unusual” is problematic here. May be he should keep his stereotypical jokes tight for a act who is already facing too much. It needs to be called out when Articles are not able to digest non western appearance at UN.
@@faith6833 may be you don’t understand But it is very deep for people who are tired of white man constantly dragging BTS , for having large female fandom , the screaming teens as fans. and now calling Asian acts appearance at UN as diplomats “unusual”, when other western celebrities have done it before. Thank you for take your time and show them the good side of ARMY, not just hate and attack because of something they said.
They had a BTS Week on Jimmy Fallon which included Black Swan. All the performances were in amazing settings. Worth a look.
among bts member the one you are seeing doing the contemporary dance was Jimin, Jimin's major way back when he was younger was Modern Dancing

Not a harp - a tradtional Korean gayageum
You must watch BTS: 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima
Did anyone tell them that the first couple of albums follow a storyline
This is Jimin's dance
Definitely agree with you with their korean songs are wayyyyy better. Same goes with their Japanese ones too.

Jungkook's intro Do your thang is so artistic and smooth with his graceful body wave moves set the right mood of the song.
