This is set up in the configuration for the 1990s. But during the 1990s only the USMC carried the old style First Aid Kit, Individual. The addition of the Molle IFAK to the LBE and LBV was done in the National Guard and Army Reserves when they came out but had not yet been issued the Molle Rifleman Sets.
Marines called those Y harness of their deuses gear.

Thank you for all the content that you produce. I'm a big nerd when it comes to both military history, and military equipment/gear. Especially the older equipment and gear.
I have been given a bunch of older military gear over the years and find it very useful for working out in the woods. Both for clearing and maintaining the ATV/walking trails in my neighborhood as well as for hunting and camping.
(Please forgive the PFP and username. I know that not everyone who watches this channel has favorable views or opinions regarding police. I did it as a tribute to my Grandfather. He was a State Trooper and died in an 18 wheeler crash while off duty in 1971)
I actually got that belt in the shotgun pouch for it alice lbe belt and web gear
Those metal clips can be replaced with short MALICE polymer clips, reducing weight significantly.
Don't Malice clips on the ALICE pouches allow the pouches to slip around on the pistol belt and not stay in place like the metal ALICE clips hold them??
I use the "H" suspenders, they are so much better. I also carry four ammo pouches with one canteen and a camal back water bladder, butt pack and IFAK.

NMCB5 perfect except for the pouch left side upper strap we would have put the compass there so @ nite you could easily find it and the lanyard would keep you from losing it.
Man I love that night camo parka I’ve been looking for months for one in a xl long or 2x reg but I’m larger than I’d be in the military. But I just got my insect bar and military surplus poncho. Not usgi but not Chinese either . Only tarp I could find is the usmc one with tan on one side and that marpat digital woodland color only the used was in my price range. Other than duck tape what is the best way of repairing ponchos and tarps @ home obviously tape in the field but if u have the time and want a good repair. Saw someone on UA-cam use parachute patches but idk how true that is.lastly thinks for posting again on UA-cam idk about everyone but I get a lot of info from all ur vids.
I still think the lbv 88e is some of the best load bearing equipment available, I wonder if any company is making any reproductions though.
I don't think any company remakes lbv 88e.

I think I've seen some floating around. Expensive as hell though for rothco like quality.
My bayonet is attached to the left shoulder strap with the blade facing up.
I have most of that gear lost or misplaced some of it over time.
How tall should the belt sit? I have it set up right above my hip bones but when I start jogging its starts riding up and rotating to the left.
Adjust the weight distribution of your load.
I've heard about the belly button or so.
We wore the LBV belt at our actual waist line.
The ALICE Pack belt sat lower on our hips.
