Hope Bob is feeling better.. I fell on my face in 2015 and the technicolor bruises on my face were just like Bob’s. It was awful. I suffered a concussion and broke my glasses. It took 2 months for the bruises to go away. But.. oh dear.. it was awful.

Hi Sandra! Glad I found you. You are lovely. The Pat McGrath undereye powder is truly light and blurring. I agree that a satin or Dewey ( but not too dewy) finish is best. I spend too much on my channel too but use Rakuten to get a little back. The highlighter is lovely on you. I use a cream highlighter on my dry mature skin like the one by Merit, or Lumi lotion… flattering… also the Ogee highlighter balm. Beautiful
I’ve been using the face oil that you recommended last year. (SKINN)… it is great to use for facial massage with guasha tool and with my hands, fingers… FACE YOGA.. for lifting, firming , etc
Oh forgot to say, I’ve been using the brand Meesha. A Japanese brand foundation. It comes in several colors, and it’s a sponge compact. I really like it.
Sandra, just had to comment about your eyes. They are Beautiful! You really highlight them well. So jealous of those lashes! I've been using a "lash primer" plus mascara, but don't have the results you do. You look healthy and vibrant! 🥰
@@SandraSallin I used the Viebeauti serum I got on Amazon. It worked for awhile to make the lashes long, but no volume. Now it just seems to have quit working. I now use the L'Oreal Voluminous base primer and it thickens a little, but not like yours!

Woohoo - you found a cool toned bronzer!! And those eyelashes are amazing….i may have to duplicate your lashes. When you were putting on foundation, I thought it was a bit deeper color than you normally wear. In combination with bronzer you do look darker than usual. However, the products look great on your skin. I bet if you try a sample of lighter shade of same foundation you may feel more comfortable with it. Because of the red in my skin, i have to pick foundation that matches my chest/ neck….it seems too light going on but then when I’m done with all the products…..it looks perfect. For lip balms, I really love the feel of Nikol Beauty, however many days I use my EltaMD UV lip balm for sunscreen protection ( spf 36 ) or even the Burt’s Bee’s chapstick version. A new balm I’ve been loving is from Supergoop , “ unseen”. 😊

Sandra, you always look so good. I don't think the foundation is too dark - it might be the bronzer. I am fair and cannot wear too many bronzers. They just look dirty on me.

Some of the many makeup artists on YT have said that when applying powder makeup or just any powder to the face before applying it, tap the brush to the palm of your hand. That method knocks off that initial extra amount from dipping your brush into the product. It’s seems more effective so you don’t apply too much to one place on your face. Have you watched Nikki LaRose? She’s a MUA genius! Well there are so many great ones! You sold me on the Dior lash primer a while ago!! Gorgeous lashes! Yes, it was the bronzer. I think it was simply too dark. I actually prefer a cream bronzer. Yes, I love all of the MUA.I'm not a mUA so I'm always watching them and learning.

I am also trying for a more minimal look. Instead of all over foundation, I use a beauty blender type sponge to apply concealer in the places that need it, then bronzer and blush. Also hoping to look like a young French girl-haha. Have a good week!

I could never ever spend that kid and of money on a foundation. It does look lovely but for that price it better. I appreciate you testing things for our, older, dryer skin. 😊
Powdery skin can be instantly fixed with setting spray, fyi….just in case you want to use some! After 3 squamous cell skin cancers, my dermatologist has me using an 50 SPF, followed by (as makeup)the IT CC cream spf 50. It is full coverage..but you can get the CC GLOW spf 40 which is medium. I love them both. His opinion is more protection. The CC’s are both a moist look.. but I do use powder to set and then a setting spray to combat any dry look. There is now a matte version, but I’m too dry for that one. Because I don’t go out in the sun, I’m pale.. so I love bronzer to just give a bit of a boost to where sun would hit naturally…makes a great eyeshadow too. MAC blush in Gingerly (matte) or Sunbasque (tiny bit of sheen) are wonderful alternatives..a blush/bronze look. I add just a dash of pink or peach to zip it up😂 Love that lip color on you!!🩷

I always thought setting spray was just to set your makeup. There's a Mac store near me. I'll check out those bronzers. I too have had at least 25 skin cell cancers removed from my face because I had radiation on my face for acne as a teenager. I also don't go out in the sun. 🌞
I thought it was a touch too dark when you first put it on. Bronzer just enhanced that. Maybe a bit lighter with the bronzer? I can’t tell if the shine is enhancing mature skin texture on you. I know that something too dewey lights up my textured skin. I agree with Wayne Goss. Having said all that the end result was quite pretty on you although I would try the next shade lighter.

Dior show lash primer serum. Check out Nordstroms. The mascara is by Benefit They're Real. Let me know if you still have a problem. I don't remember it saying 4D. Maybe that's new.
Hi, Sandra. I learn a lot from MUA Wayne Goss. He says using brushes can cause micro exfoliation so not great for dry skin. Also, glowy, shiny makeup shows more texture and lines than matte. Foundation only needed on some areas to even out but not all over face. You are lovely with or without makeup. Best wishes
As far as you questioning the shade of foundation……You should swipe swatches of your Dior foundation against a swatch of the new foundation and see what the shade difference is. Then you may have your answer as to why you felt like the shade was off a little. Your Dior was a good color match. Otherwise , beautifully done and great video.
Before makeup your skin is gorgeous. Loved all these recommendations. You referred to yourself as an old woman. Please do not do this. You're a vibrant, inspiring, so younger than her years woman. You are a beautiful person, both inside and out. Always look forward to your videos.
I vote that the foundation shade is too dark. I think the bronzer looked too dark because it was applied too high. I apply bronzer concentrating starting below the cheekbone and starting from the hairline, then brushing out and bledning so it gets slightly lighter towards the front of the face. Then I start the blush on the cheekbone, again starting from the hairline. While I'm giving unsolicited advice, I just found RMS bronzer. It has a slight sheen which I think is very flattering for us 70+ ladies.
Sandra, the RMS is a powder but it isn’t dry. It has an almost creamy texture. Do you have any Blue Mercury stores near you? Some Blue Mercuries have RMS in store.
Hi Sandra…we must be on the same French girl journey. I am learning to use less…especially this summer. Hard to get some eye definition but you do it beautifully. I have seen a few videos on jones rd what the F, foundation, and I am intrigued. It’s very much for older, dry skin. I currently use IT CC cream, and I haven’t tried anything I like better. Hugs Judy
How come you’re recommending foundation (that often has chemicals) over the SKINN oil and the May Coop product? Do you not like the face oil any longer?
@@SandraSallin I suggest that if you want to use foundation, use healthy brands…organic…with no chemical names that are difficult to pronounce. And always check each ingredient in the EWG website or app. Many foundations clog pores and don’t allow skin to breathe. Given your health history with various cancerous growths that had to be removed, I’d stay with organic brands, with no chemicals, they exist.
I like the look but I think the bronzer is dark. I think the foundation is a little too warm. I say that because your neck is much lighter. You still look beautiful.

Hi, Sandra. I learn a lot from MUA Wayne Goss. He says using brushes can cause micro exfoliation so not great for dry skin. Also, glowy, shiny makeup shows more texture and lines than matte. Foundation only needed on some areas to even out but not all over face. You are lovely with or without makeup. Best wishes
I agree with Wayne Goss you have to be selective as to wear to keep the gloss.
As far as you questioning the shade of foundation……You should swipe swatches of your Dior foundation against a swatch of the new foundation and see what the shade difference is. Then you may have your answer as to why you felt like the shade was off a little. Your Dior was a good color match. Otherwise , beautifully done and great video.

I vote that the foundation shade is too dark. I think the bronzer looked too dark because it was applied too high. I apply bronzer concentrating starting below the cheekbone and starting from the hairline, then brushing out and bledning so it gets slightly lighter towards the front of the face. Then I start the blush on the cheekbone, again starting from the hairline. While I'm giving unsolicited advice, I just found RMS bronzer. It has a slight sheen which I think is very flattering for us 70+ ladies.
I applied it wrong plus I applied the bronzer wrong. Is the RMS bronzer powderish?
Sandra, the RMS is a powder but it isn’t dry. It has an almost creamy texture. Do you have any Blue Mercury stores near you? Some Blue Mercuries have RMS in store.
Your lipstick shade is nice. Just think the bronzer looks to muddy, dark & has a harsh look.

Hi Sandra…we must be on the same French girl journey. I am learning to use less…especially this summer. Hard to get some eye definition but you do it beautifully. I have seen a few videos on jones rd what the F, foundation, and I am intrigued. It’s very much for older, dry skin. I currently use IT CC cream, and I haven’t tried anything I like better. Hugs Judy

How come you’re recommending foundation (that often has chemicals) over the SKINN oil and the May Coop product?

Yes, still like the Skinn oil just trying new stuff. I get recommendations and have to try.

@@SandraSallin I suggest that if you want to use foundation, use healthy brands…organic…with no chemical names that are difficult to pronounce. And always check each ingredient in the EWG website or app. Many foundations clog pores and don’t allow skin to breathe. Given your health history with various cancerous growths that had to be removed, I’d stay with organic brands, with no chemicals, they exist.
One organic brand is ILIA…VEGAN.

What happened to your recommendation to use a face oil and then the Korean May Coop Raw sauce essence (from last year’s video)
I still use May Coop Raw Sauce but I switched off the oil to try some new moisturizers. Got to keep growing and learning.

I’ve been using the face oil that you recommended last year. (SKINN)… it is great to use for facial massage with guasha tool and with my hands, fingers… FACE YOGA.. for lifting, firming , etc
Well, now I have a new routine that I must tell you all about. I went through 2 of those oils. But I'm always trying to do even more. @Rxstarmom adores it.
