I remember doing that trail on my Diamondback Alpine about 20 years ago. It was my first time doing an offroad trail, and I didn't know shocks were a thing. Totally new and unprepared. I raced down that damn mountain way too fast, and when I got to the bottom the employees at the bottom were laughing. They didn't believe me that someone had gone down it with a shockless bike. I don't think I sat for 1 second!
@@SingleTrackSurgeon I do. The kamikaze is classic man. That was the run back in the day. Still fun and hella fast. And the lower trails are so drifty and fun. I need to head down to Mammoth I want to hit that park.
It's my favorite bike park to ride, so the resounding answer is yes. And yes, I've been to Whistler... but it's not for everyone. Just let of the brakes and let her float like powder skiing. 🤘🏼
Most of the trails are decently packed. If you stay on it’s fine. It honestly super fun when it’s just a little soft. On this trail, i learned the hard way not to trust tracks through the soft stuff tho. It wasn’t bad, just some road rash and a cut or two
@@chriswiles87 it’s unique and worth checking out. It’s no Whistler that’s for sure, but it has some fun tech and the dirt is kitty litter. It’s very surfy and oddly supportive if ridden right.
