    Im wanting to make a video just like this.. I started CrossFit when I was 15 years old. I was a freshman in high school and I weighed 235 pounds. CrossFit made me turn my life around and I can not even express to you how much my life has changed. Now, Im 17 years old, a senior in high school and I weigh 170 pounds. I am enrolled in online classes because my mother and I just opened a box. CrossFit saved my life.

    Saw a commercial about him yesterday while watching The Crossfit Games on ESPN3! What a beautiful family.. Father and son are super fit, handsome, and just plain awesome :) I wish Johnny Medina III luck on his journey and prays he accomplishes so much in life!

    It's great to have a father like that. A man who cares, wants to be there for his son and puts his son's needs ahead of his own. On the outside, these two may look like trouble (as Johnny III said) but they're very genuine people and J3 is very luck to have a father like that. Glad Crossfit could bring the two of them together. Keep up the good work and train hard boys!

    I wish that there was a love button for this video. This is inspiring, and uplifting. I wish that more people could see the benefits of great discipline and courage that it takes to say no to peers, or ignore harassment and ignorance of health and fitness. Great job to his father, and I wish there were more dads out there who set such an impressive example. Furthermore, excellent work, John. You showed great courage and wisdom to choose a better path in life. Bravo!

    I love seeing these stories. They're just such good reminders of what crossfit can do. Especially when you keep in mind that these stories aren't exceptionally unique. In one way or another crossfit has drastically changed the lives of every person that has dedicated themselves to it maybe not to this extreme but definitely still drastic ways. Great video.

    Great Vid.Just one of thousands of similar stories that are out there about how CrossFit saves lives. It might not be dramatic.... but its big in those individual lives.
    I love how raw they train as well. I'm an affiliate owner and would get a lot of angry athletes if i ran out of chalk. The Medina's just grab some dirt, dust it off and get real. Many lesson to be learnt but none more than humility.

    Im like 210 and my clean and jerk is maybe 210. On a good day. I've been doing olympic lifting for about a year now and im looking to get into crossfit. This guy, and people that do crossfit, are legends in my book.

    Great story! Wish both father and son the best. What l don't get is, why 16 dislikes? Too bad they're not Crossfitting, they'd be happier people. My next WOD will dedicated to those haters, in hopes they one day can be a force of good toward others. Thanks to the Medinas, for the inspiration.

    I'm not saying tattoo's and spacers are bad, I have multiple tats. I'm saying the description is stupid to include that little bit extra on the end, just throwing a label on him when it's unnecessary.

    I thought that Cross fitters didn't judge other people on there color,and how they look. So stop whining about hid ear piercings. Respect to this little fella !

  • @LabyrinthWorm
    @LabyrinthWorm 12 років тому

    People with tattoos and piercings can get jobs. Body modification discrimination is no different than any other and doesn't implicate the type of person or the type of work someone can do. I work as a counselor who travels to schools and works with underprivileged students - I have stretched ears, microdermals, and tattoos. It doesn't make someone a bad person or dictate the quality of their "professionalism". I also CrossFit. Compartmentalizing and stereotyping doesn't help anyone.
