Westonbirt Arboretum | Things To Do in Costwolds | Amazing Autumn

Join us as we show you the stunning Autumn colours that can be seen at the National Arboretum at Westonbirt.
The 600 acre park has over 2,500 species of trees which are spectacular to see, especially in Autumn. All in all there is in excess of 15,000 trees, that have all been maintained to a perfect standard by the Forestry Commission.
Situated just outside the beautiful Cotswold Parish of Tetbury, this is a must see place if you are visiting that part of the country - But be conscious of the fact that you do need to book in advance. Tickets can be found on their website here - www.forestryengland.uk/weston....
This amazing tree collection is renowned as being one of the most spectacular in the World. The Arboretum’s story began nearly 200 years ago, when wealthy Victorian landowner, Robert Holford, decided to display his avid fascination for trees to the public by creating the Arboretum.
With its selection of stunning trails it is ideal for walkers and cyclists alike.
With a vast car park (which it does need as it does get very busy), it also caters for all ages with a great selection of food stores at the entrance and further in the park.
It also has a few shops, toilet facilities and a couple of parks for children to play when they want a break from the walking. They can also keep their eyes open and hunt for the hidden Hidden Gruffalo sculptures.
Then there is the 13 metre high rooftop walk, across the wooden bridge that gives you a great birds eye view of the trees and surrounding forests.
All trails are pushchair friendly so this really is a great place to go for walk.
Scott did not really fancy coming here as he said he could see trees in a woods anywhere, but even he was quite taken back by the array of colours that you encounter.
And if it impressed him, it will impress anyone!
