Everytime I watch this I am transported. His brooding face, gravelly tones, his comfort in challenging his voice to go a little further and surpassing the intention... He oozes soul and that I think is why I adore it so much. Plus I think acoustic melodies played on guitar so tight like that (the entire band perfect accompaniment) just gets me so caught up and enraptured. Each time I listen I am moved! Beyond perfection. This is purity and art.

I think it's interesting that he changed the lyrics slightly so it's from the perspective of the guy the song is about.... I usually hate it when artists change pronouns etc of songs they cover cuz I feel it rarely adds anything, it usually just feels awkward. But this is interesting, it's like we get to hear the other side of the story.
I've seen the Stereophonics live twice and their amazing live also their material on all their albums are amazing, ive heard the lads do some great covers of songs and whilst you have to respect the original I think Kelly does a great cover of the songs he does his voice is just fantastic.
Saw them live just after Cable left. R.I.P, he'd be proud. Probably didn't have the best relationship towards the end, I don't know. But what a band. And what a performance at the M.E.N Arena. Thanks for the memories.
