Exploding Head Syndrome Simulation

- In this video, I attempt to recreate the sound or sound effect that is created during Exploding Head Syndrome, at least in my experiences. During January and Feburary I had a long bout of Exploding Head Syndrome episodes, at it's worst it was happening 6 out of 7 nights in a given week. I would be about to fall asleep and the next thing I know I'm being awakended by an extremely loud sound, sometimes the sounds were just loud, other times they were frightening. When I attempted to explain this to people, they were often confused and had never experienced it and I found it difficult to explain because it's a sound. So I made this in an attempt to showcase these sounds as accurately as I could along with setting the mood for you to experience Exploding Head Syndrome for yourself. Enjoy.
If you've experienced it, let me know your experiences as well as your thoughts on this video. I'm definitely interested to know as I've read and seen a lot about this phenomenon. I've seen tiktok's about it, I've read spiritual explanations, creepypasta, comparisions to sleep paralysis and much more.
I've experienced different sounds: man screaming in my ear and extreme door banging, but this video is absolutely awesome, totally makes you remember or try to experience this
Same
I feel sorry for you. That must be horrible. The sounds I experienced made me thing of two buckets smashing together or maybe two tractors smashing together.
@@aswfabt oh, this should have been pretty loud and sharp. It was a rough period for me when I heard these sounds, I'm on medication now and it's much better. Just mild sound hallucinations before falling asleep sometimes.
Yeah for me it’s usually combined with sleep paralysis, I get woken up by screaming or multiple people yelling at me all the while I can see someone or multiple someone’s moving towards me very quickly
I just experienced this the moment I was about fall asleep I heard (and kinda felt) a extremely loud buzzing/static sound and saw a very bright white light directly in my face. I also had another instance where I heard really loud screaming in my ear a couple years back and just thought I was being haunted.
I meant to reply to this when I first saw it, my bad that I didn't. I just want you to know that the "buzzing/static" thing is very common in lucid dreaming communities, it's happened to me too and when I was into lucid dreaming I asked about it and I got many people saying they too experience it. I have also experienced the bright light that accompanies it, but I'm not sure how common it is. I never even connected the dots that this could potentially be a form of EHS, I may have to revisit this video and add things like this in.
its like a sonic boom right?
@@mouna3857 they said a buzzing / static noise
That electrical ⚡ synthetic fuzzing is so hard to describe to someone that's not had it! 😱
Because it gets so loud you can like feel it and it feels like if you don't escape from it it will be the death of you so I jolt myself awake like make myself jump
I have heard loud slams- like a door or a crash
bro mine was scary as shit, a voice in my head kept repeatedly saying don't turn around, then boom. An incredibly short but powerful popping sound snapped me awake. I thought there was a monster or smth behind me, but when I turned around, there was nothing there. Creepy.
I was jolted awake by a loud clang bang a couple nights ago. Last year I heard gunshot. I've heard an explosion before. I also have had sleep paralysis experiences which are more frightening and I have severe sleep apnea which I use my c-pap machine on a regular basis. My last sleep paralysis episode I heard my washing machine filling up with water. Another time I heard a coughing sound on my porch. Once I heard a clear distinct voice say listen. I listened but heard nothing. A couple months later I read a message from psalms in the bible that started with the word Listen. A message that was clearly meant for me.
The few times it happened to me, everything would fade to black, then I heard almost a bassy sound rise and fall, then the bright flash of static and the sound of it would hit me.
I've had very similar things happen, back when I was into Lucid Dreaming. It's quite a common thing over in that community to experience a static like sound before entering a lucid dream.
Mine sounded like mic feedback or loud thunder. It only happened when I was nearing sleep, and it never woke me up. It was quite disturbing, but it mysteriously went away at some point.
For me it's a heavy breathing sound accompanied with a flash of light..
Mine is just loud buzzing or an alarm clock. It’s not that scary for me just annoying since I loose sleep over it. Good video by the way!
Yeah I've had a few that sounded like a loud BANG. Which scared the crap out of me. However, usually for me it sounds like thunder. Just a few months ago I woke up to "thunder" and was convinced that it was raining outside. Only to later find out from my brother that it hadn't rained at all. I went outside to walk my dog and sure enough, there was no sign of rain.
I just woke up out of a sudden by a loud explosion of a bomb.
My window is always open so thats where I first looked for signs whether or not it was real. These things make you feel schizophrenic so I even took out my phone to film the flashes I was ALSO experiencing but thankfully nothing was captured.
This was my second explosion in 2 years so I'm quite lucky in comparison.
Fun fact: Once in my old place the hunter fired 10 shots at 5am and I thought I was gonna die - never ran to my mom faster
I have had Bomb, Shotgun, door slam and the worst one, being zapped by lightning. Not only did i hear it, i saw and felt it too. Very scary 0/10 would not recommend
Yeah mine were kinda like lightning, but more staticky
Usually, I hear doorknocks and earrapes
Mine is a loud electrical syth like fuzzing from nothing to gradually getting unbearabley loud.
Mine was an extremely loud metallic screeching and squeaking noise. It was bad.
Thank you for the video this made me understand this syndrome
At my dads I’d used to hear someone yell my name and also hit/scratch my door and it was mostly auditory and this morning I woke up to a massive explosion my body was stimulating and Everything was shaking for some reason I was not that scared until after this was the worst one I’ve have
jeez i cant imagine how this feels, im so sorry for the ones who has this syndrome. i only have hallucinations and voices and just hear stuff yk but its whenever morning, afternoon, evening, nighttime, middle of night so yeah
For me is a crescent noise like a siren and then a very loud noise that is very similar to a shot in a plate of steel
I get these almost every night, I kinda enjoy the experience at this point
For me it sounded like a pan banged together and I thought someone was braking in my window so I immediately reached for my phone scared and ready to call 911
For me it’s usually a high pitched old phone ringing, “glitched program noises” and electric arcs, the issue is that I often get completely stuck with this sound on and cannot wake up, like sleep paralysis but with absolutely no visuals and the perception of body parts. I just float somewhere as a mind without a body, most of the time not even knowing I am asleep and can do something about it. 💀
i had one like a few months ago, when i was just about to fall asleep, i got struck my a bright light and also heard a very loud coil sound, like the spring sound that coils make and my body also did the fall feeling, i almost shit my pants after that
Can't say I've heard any of these before but I've been getting this lately where I would hear a bomb, boom,Glass breaking when sleeping and dear lordly it's loud, Gives you a good scare I can say that for sure. There was a time where it would keep happening when I try to go back to sleep so I had this about 4-8 times in the time of trying to fall asleep, Seems to go away after you finally pass out. Feels like it's the brain trying to tell you not to sleep or something but I can say the ways I've been using to get around it is by relaxing/stress free when trying to sleep (I don't recommend watching anything with loud noises or something before bed LOL) but ye, it's been about 5-7 nights for me that it's been happening, the first night for me was where it was non stop for 4-8 times but the video does some it up pretty much on how it feels.
From my understanding why it happens is due to High Level of Stress or worrying before going to bed.
Good Job
I fell asleep in public {indoors} and woke up screaming because I hallucinated a gunshot 😶. I've also heard doors slam, glass breaking, and someone calling my name. I was diagnosed with Recurrent Isolated Sleep Paralysis, but I think some of my episodes are actually exploding head syndrome. They don't happen enough to be considered a problem
I heard a sneeze last night when almost waking up. Well that woke me up for real... 😆 I don't know if that was my neighbor or something like this
I have had this for a while, but I never really knew a name for it. This'll sound funny, but when I played fnaf for the first time and I heard the jumoscare, it reminded me basically of what I heard. It's not exactly like the jumpscare noise, but a very loud screaming and then static buzz of sorts? So until i knew the name of this disorder, i just called it my jumpscare because thays exactly what it felt like to me. One moment, I'd be going to sleep the next I'd wake up scared shitless. Im used to it now, but it doesn't ever feel any easier each time it happens. Just felt I'd share it. Goodnight, I guess.
What’s the instrumental in the beginning and the end if u don’t mind telling me?
I made it, but it's a really popular sample loop from Shiloh Dynasty - Imagination with a bunch of reverb.
@@duhtroit I couldn’t even recognize that it was shiloh 😭 Could u upload this version though? I actually like it.
@@Thefailuree I’ll see if I have it still. If I do, I’ll reply to you with a link to it. I highly doubt I have it because my hard drive with beats died like mid last year though 😓
@@duhtroit I hope u have it 😭
Mine is always loud cellar door slamming
my case its like i hear inside my body
I've had the third one
Its the Astral World
3rd 1 i got a heart attack
