- Unloading of one of the new to Irish navy , lake class patrol vessels , from New Zealand , off of the Big Lift happy dynamic vessel , at Ringaskiddy. Actual time taken to offload from initial lift was approx 90 minutes.
That is a class video. I just came accross your channel this morning when I spotted our video of the Foynes railway work. I got a Mini4 pro myself for pottering around with and I can appreciate the work you have put into these. So far I have only covered a few ships on the Shannon Estuary but its great. Your coverage of the construction sites is brilliant. Hope you are getting business with it
Thanks for that. Nope just a meagre few bob from google adsense and some kind contributions from viewers. That helps cover some of the costs - insurance , music licensing etc That being said , not in it for the money , just a cool hobby to have , and nice that some folk appreciate your work.
Fascinating, I've seen a few channels in the U.S doing videos like this, very nice indeed. Anyway, now they've got the vessels...... they'll need to pay sailors a decent salary if they want any crew 👍
Went from a fleet of 9 ships to not being able to crew 4 ships, we retired 3 ships over the course of a weekend and now we buy 2nd hand not fit for purpose boats that cant go further than 22km from the coast

@@dronehawkThese 2 IPVs will only be used in the Irish Sea they cannot be used in the Atlantic they will both be based in Dun Laoighre or 1 there and 1 in Rosslare or Waterford port

Only in Ireland 🇮🇪 buy second hand boats
It seems bizarre to me that they did not just sail it back. It also seems counter intuitive to buy a boat that you can't staff.
They're inland patrol.vessels , they can't be used out in the Atlantic. They will patrol close to shore and in the irish sea only .
Not really worth buying.
@@dronehawk Issue is they still can't staff a single boat. Now they have another one? Seems to be a pointless waste of money to me. If you are going to invest in defence either go for it or don't. Don't half ass it.
@@lukewoodside9420 The crew required to man 1 offshhore patrol vessel can man both of these inshore patrol vessels. They obviously can man at least 1 ship considering they are about to send an OPV on an overseas mission otherwise who's sailing it??🤔
